HYPOTHESIS
• If the number of smart phones consumers has
risen, then the number of social media accounts
have risen
OBJECTIVES
• Determine the use of internet and social media on a daily basis on a smartphone.
• Determine the usefulness of cell phones against laptops.
• How many users have social media on their smartphone.
• Determine the number of smartphones and the future of smartphones.
DETERMINE THE USE OF INTERNET AND SOCIAL
MEDIA ON A DAILY BASIS ON A SMARTPHONE
• Social media is what smartphones are used for the most
• The majority of users spend more than 10 hours a day on their phone
DETERMINE THE USEFULNESS OF CELL PHONES
AGAINST LAPTOPS
• 81% of respondents say they use their cellphone more than their laptop for
internet searches
• 74% say they use their laptop for just school or work and the cell phone is used
for everything else. The laptop is becoming obsolete.

• Over 80% have social media on their phone and 50% have had an account for
over 10 years. Social media is becoming the primary use for smartphones.

• 94% are very likely to buy a smart phone again.
• Smartphones are continuing to grow and will continue in the future

• The interesting part was the education levels. There was some from almost all
categories.

SUMMARY
• The number of smartphones is increasing, along with the number of users using
social media applications.
• The conclusion is that smartphones are being used more than the traditional
laptops. In retrospect the number of social media accounts will rise as the usage
of smartphones is rising and increasing.
• Laptops are becoming more obsolete and smartphones and social media
application are growing and becoming the new form of communication and
connectivity.

  • 2. HYPOTHESIS • If the number of smart phones consumers has risen, then the number of social media accounts have risen
  • 3. OBJECTIVES • Determine the use of internet and social media on a daily basis on a smartphone. • Determine the usefulness of cell phones against laptops. • How many users have social media on their smartphone. • Determine the number of smartphones and the future of smartphones.
  • 4. DETERMINE THE USE OF INTERNET AND SOCIAL MEDIA ON A DAILY BASIS ON A SMARTPHONE • Social media is what smartphones are used for the most • The majority of users spend more than 10 hours a day on their phone
  • 5. DETERMINE THE USEFULNESS OF CELL PHONES AGAINST LAPTOPS • 81% of respondents say they use their cellphone more than their laptop for internet searches • 74% say they use their laptop for just school or work and the cell phone is used for everything else. SUMMARY • The number of smartphones is increasing, along with the number of users using social media applications. • The conclusion is that smartphones are being used more than the traditional laptops. In retrospect the number of social media accounts will rise as the usage of smartphones is rising and increasing. • Laptops are becoming more obsolete and smartphones and social media application are growing and becoming the new form of communication and connectivity.
