The problem definition was clear and well presented and the application was a good example of using technology to
support a solution for an everyday sustainability problem. The MareMare application will help to promote re-use of goods
and new services, while at the same time improving socio-economic development, which is fundamental to a sustainable
society

Team CareFactor submitted a high quality video that presented
a solution to help ease challenges with food waste and logistics.
Their application aims to decrease food waste by optimizing the
distribution channels which is an essential part of supply chain
management. The Team CareFactor idea was a good example
of using technology to support a solution to an important
sustainability problem.

                                                A charity app that measures the
                                                heart rate, calories burned, etc.
                                                which could be totaled for
                                                participants in the Vasaloppet.
                                                This total could then be converted
                                                in a monetary value that sponsors
                                                could then donate
                                                to a specified charity.

His idea for an application helps a skier before,
during and after a race with everything from
training, competition and the practical details of
the Vasaloppet area, between the cities of Sälen
and Mora including hotels, restaurants, ski
tracks, etc

                                  He suggested taking an existing Vasaloppet app and making it
                                  hands-free. By incorporating voice recognition and text-to-
                                  speech skiers could use the app without having to pick up their
                                  phones

Team SenMobile – application: “Yaboy”

Crowd Sourced Fish Pricing App
Its primary function is to crowd source the pricing
of various types of fish in a geographic area. The
idea is that this will reduce the overall prices by
eliminating gouging and to stabilize regional
prices. Integration with Mobile Maps/Google Maps
makes it easy to see geographic pricing.

   Team Afrosilicon – application: “Funkiez”

   Social Networking/Event Handling App
   Enables users to stay up to date with each other by notifying him/her of upcoming events and allowing them to reserve
   and pay for tickets for an event while sharing details via social networks like Facebook.

     Komunity Bora – application: “Nduru”

     Traffic & Accident Reporting App with some First Aid information
     Aggregating information from users, it can report accidents, dangerous driving conditions and locate the nearest
     hospital. Using the Ericsson Labs Text-to-Speech API, First Aid advice can be reported to the user.

   MedAfrica – application “Shimba”

   Medical Information App
   Dispenses detailed information on various
   ailments and drugs as well as health care tips
   and First Aid. Includes a hospital locator and

   With a philosophy of cooperation,
   enthusiam and innovation, Team 4Plus
   comes from Guangzhou, China and
   attend South China University of
   Technology.
   Their "FriendScape" app uses location as
   the center of customer information,
   transforming information into real scenes
   and pictures, with a more friendly and
   attractive way to retrieve friends’
   recommendations, coupons and
   merchandize information, etc

                                  TEAM CLIO SQUAD
                                  The Clio Squad team attends Shanghai Jiaotong
                                  University in China. They believe their inspiration
                                  and imagination will result in a better way of
                                  communication all over the world.
                                  Clio Super Painter brings a new style to painting
                                  and chatting on Android devices, making painting
                                  a new way to communicate. With Clio Super
                                  Painter, users could paint and exchange
                                  inspiration anywhere as a group.

   Team Kommunity Bora is made up
   of students from Kenya Methodist University, East
   African School of Aviation and Catholic University
   in Nairobi, Kenya.

                                  than 25 years of collective experience in medical
                                  information technology and telecom industry with
                                  leading multinational companies.

                                  Their app, "Healthbook," is a cloud-based mobile
                                  medico-social platform that allows accessibility of
                                  medical information and history via web and
                                  mobile.

   TEAM BUZZLE TECHNOLOGY
   Team Buzzle Technology are the founders of an Indonesia
   start-up company named PT. Buzzle Indonesia. Their vision
   is to create applications to digitalize daily activities mainly in
   solving simple problems in Indonesia. To achieve that goal,
   their first product is BuzzleMall – the digital mall assistant.
   BuzzleMall is a mobile application to browse malls faster and
   with more fun. People can easily find a malls’ promotions,
   stores, and events based on their current location. To enrich
   the user experience, BuzzleMall provides an inside-Mall
   navigation feature and meet-up system to easily invite
   friends to hang out in malls.

The idea is that this will reduce the overall prices by eliminating gouging and to stabilize regional prices. They believe their inspiration and imagination will result in a better way of communication all over the world. Clio Super Painter brings a new style to painting and chatting on Android devices, making painting a new way to communicate.   • 28. Third place winner company category TEAM BUZZLE TECHNOLOGY Team Buzzle Technology are the founders of an Indonesia start-up company named PT. Buzzle Indonesia. Their vision is to create applications to digitalize daily activities mainly in solving simple problems in Indonesia. To achieve that goal, their first product is BuzzleMall – the digital mall assistant. BuzzleMall is a mobile application to browse malls faster and with more fun. People can easily find a malls’ promotions, stores, and events based on their current location.
