SWCP NEWS
Hi, my name is Marshine Allen
and I will write for the SWCP News
section. One thing I am excited
to write about is the cheerleading
team. The cheerleaders cheer at
the sports games. I think it makes
cheerleading students happy, be-
cause they leave school early, prac-
tice with our friends and get out of
some school work. The cheerlead-
ing team has been working really
hard so they can cheer at football
games on Fridays. Cheerleaders
make SWCP a better place because
they give the school spirit!
Hello, my name is Terryelle Hill
and I think that SWCP scholars
need more recess. The more schol-
ars work, the more time they should
have to go outside. SWCP scholars
should have more time to exercise
their brain so they won’t get sleepy
or off focus in class. If SWCP schol-
ars don’t have break time, they will
be off track in class. If you really
want SWCP students to be on track,
why don’t you let them get out and
play so they won’t be tired! C’mon
teachers, don’t let students’ brains
overwork. Give students a break!

ther Update signing out!
SPORTS
Hi my name is Victor Garnido and
I am going to interview the football
team. I want to ask them what they
do in school, and what they do af-
ter school. I want to find out what
Keillan Moore does in school. Then
I am going to interview Ronald
Greenberry, I want to know what
he does after school! It would be
great to interview Coach Henry and
Coach Miller. Read next week’s
edition for my first interview story!
My name is Keillan Moore, I am
going to cover the Panthers sports
news. I will cover each sports team,
and find out what sports do people
like better. Some ideas I want to
investigate are “What position do
poeple like to play and why?” “Do
students want to go to the NFL or
NBA?”. I am thinking people may
want to go to the NBA because they
can’t get hurt as much as in football.
Community
Hi my name is Kevionnie Palmer
and I will be writing the Family
section. One issue I would like
to write about is that we need
more family volunteers in SWCP
activities. I think this because if we
go on a field trip and do not have
family volunteers, we will not be
able to go! Another reason I think
we need more family volunteers, is
because we are doing a canned food
drive for the homeless. We need
family volunteers to bring in canned
foods and maybe help us organize
and donate the canned foods. This
year let’s try to get more family
volunteers!
My name is Lanshana Heno, I am
in fifth grade. I am writing for the
Family section. I would like to share
that the school lunch is not so good.
We should be concerned about our
health. For example, our lunch is
not cooked all the way. Why do we
eat food that comes from Crocker?
We need real chefs! Or maybe par-
ents to come and help out. Even
better, I think we should go out to
eat with families. This is Lanshana
with Panther news. More to come
later!
This is Kennedi Briggs, I will be
writing about the family section.
We should have more family help-
ers and volunteers in our activities.
One place we could use parents is
the cafeteria. Our breakfast sausag-
es are half cooked--ew! The food
here is unbelievable. Since I work
in the family section, it is a good
opportunity for me to say--parents
come work and cook for the stu-
dents at SWCP! Some students may
feel upset to see their parent be-
cause parents can be embarrassing,
but if the parent is a good cook, it
will make students feel happy!
Arts
My name is Terry Bridges. I think
people should be in Drum Line,
here are some reasons why:
• Drum Line teaches you to fo-
cus. It teaches you to learn the
beat. We have a Rule of Rela-
tions which means you have to
focus on the hard beats.
• Drum Line is hard work. Hard
work in drum line teaches you
to work on on other things such
as tests.
• Drumline is fun to do! You can
create music, you can march
with the band. Being on the
Drum Line team makes you feel
like you are on top!
