All radio and light waves are part of an electromagnetic spectrum. All of them are referred to as various electromagnetic waves, such as infrared and microwaves bands with relatively longer waves as compared to those of the visible light that is typically found between the radio, as well as the visible spectrum, as well as the EUV, UV, X-rays as well as G-rays which comes in wavelengths that are relatively shorter.

1. The History of X-Ray Equipment
All radio and light waves are part of an electromagnetic spectrum. All of them are referred
to as various electromagnetic waves, such as infrared and microwaves bands with
relatively longer waves as compared to those of the visible light that is typically found
between the radio, as well as the visible spectrum, as well as the EUV, UV, X-rays as well
as G-rays which comes in wavelengths that are relatively shorter.
Medical X-Ray Equipment:
X-rays have the capability of penetrating thickness of a matter. Digital radiography used in
the medical field produces X-rays from a series of electrons that go fast and comes to a
quick halt at the metal plate. The images that are produced happen as a result of the
various absorption rates coming from different tissues.
The calcium in our bones can absorb X-rays best; thus, the bones appear white on the X-
ray image for film recording, which is often called as digital radiography. Fat, as well as
other softer tissues may have the tendency to absorb less X-rays and look really gray. Air,
on the other hand, absorbs least, which is why lungs appear black on the radiograph.
First Ultrasonic Machines – Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen:
On November of 1895, scientist Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen accidentally discovered a
specific image cast out of his created cathode ray generator. It was projected way beyond
the maximum range of cathode rays. After further study and investigation, it has been
found out that rays were created at contact with cathode ray beam, which is placed on its
vacuum tube interior, and not being deflected with the magnetic fields. They also
penetrated different types of matter.
After this discovery, he captured an X-ray photograph out of the hand of his wife, which
has revealed clearly her bones and wedding ring. This image has aroused interest among
the public and has introduced a new radiation form. Because of that, he named it X-
radiation, with X representing ‘unknown’.
X-Ray Tube – William Coolidge:
It was William Coolidge who created X-ray tube, which is also called as Coolidge tube.
That invention has revolutionised further the X-rays generation and has become the model
in which the tubes used in X-Ray equipment for applications in medicine are also based.
Since then, further studies were conducted which eventually resulted to the modern
2. ultrasonic machines that are available these days.
The several applications of digital radiography have immediately resulted to interest.
Workshops started creating a specialised version of the tubes for generating X-rays.
Chandra X-ray observatory was launched back in 1999, which even enabled for the
exploration of the processes in producing X-rays. Aside from that, there are other
advancements in the field, which makes these ultrasonic machines helpful, especially in
the medical field.
