1. Gal Mordechai
TALP Strategic Business Manager
What have you enjoyed about being in TALP? It’s a great way to interact with
other MBAs from top schools. Based on the TALPer feedback, TCS recently
started organizing a case competition in Santa Clara, California, which allowed us
to meet TALPers and executives from across the country.
Why TCS? I was an officer in the military before I got my degree— so I know
about doing important work. I liked that TCS allowed me to work on meaningful
projects from day 1. I started out at TCS as an intern, and at the end of my
internship, presented a project to the head of our global consulting practice for
North America.
We are always
improving. We are
always innovating.
We are made up of
thinkers like you. We
are TCS. Why did you choose TCS?
I like that TCS offers cultural diversity, international
assignments and opportunities to work in a wide
variety of industries and functional areas. Also, I
was looking to gain experience in new areas, such
as organizational change management, which I did
for TCS’ Life Sciences practice this year
Describe an assignment you worked on.
I interned for TCS as an MBA Summer Associate to
work on an experience design project for a major
US insurer. I was asked to provide
recommendations to the client for improving
Millennial acquisition for its auto-insurance
product. In 10 weeks, I designed a project plan,
crystallized a methodology, conducted primary
market research via surveys that I designed, built
relationships, worked with designers and engineers
to build prototypes of my recommendations and
ultimately delivered recommendations that
underwent focus group testing. The breadth and
depth of my project enabled me to draw from
many of my first year MBA courses – from
marketing to statistics to operations management
– and really stretch myself. It was the most
intellectually rich work experience that I had had
up to that point. I also worked with terrific people
– both on the account team and with the client
What advice do you have for someone
