The Iowa Barnstormers and the Green Bay Blizzard rekindled an old rivalry while looking to advance
to a winning record. During the first possession of the matchup, QB Robbie Nallenweg connected
with WR Daron Clark for a 22-yard touchdown, 0-6. On the ensuing possession, quarterback Dono-
van Porterie found receiver Andre London, bringing the Green Bay team in the lead by one. A long
49-yard touchdown reception by Iowa-native Brady Roland followed by a Green Bay score kept up
the momentum through the end of the first. Green Bay Blizzard 10, Iowa Barnstormers 14.
The Blizzard’s top receiver, Demarius Washington, tallied his first points of the night at the begin-
ning of the second, 17-14. A back-and-forth matchup, the Blizzard found the end zone once again
with the help of WR Donte Sawyer. Not allowing the Barnstormers to go scoreless in the second, the
offense stepped up with touchdown in the air to receiver Daron Clark. Green Bay Blizzard 24, Iowa
Barnstormers 20.
Coming out of the locker room, Green Bay’s Sawyer and Iowa’s Roland each scored their second
touchdown of the game. Trying to make each drive count, the Blizzard kicked a field goal for a quick
three points. Chris Bowden’s first-ever IFL touchdown followed by another score by Roland brought
the Barnstormers back in the lead. Green Bay Blizzard 34, Iowa Barnstormers 39.
The five-point spread came down to the final moments of the game. After swapping touchdowns,
the Blizzard pulled back in the game by adding on another six points. Now a one-point game, the
Barnstormers had two minutes to finalize the scoreboard. After making their way down the field, the
Barnstormers found themselves within the five yard marker, but were set back due to a false start
penalty. Nallenweg tossed one deep in the end zone with the intention of reaching receiver Lemans
Casimer, but was intercepted. Final score, Green Bay Blizzard 47, Iowa Barnstormers 46.

Des Moines, IA – The Iowa Barnstormers (1-3) were defeated 76-50 by the Nebraska Danger (4-0)
Friday evening at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island, Nebraska.
The Iowa Barnstormers stepped off the bus ready to play on Friday night versus the Nebraska Dan-
ger. Scoring twenty-six points in the first quarter, the Barnstormers set the bar high for their unde-
feated opponent. Quarterback Robbie Nallenweg and receivers were in sync and the Iowa defense
made their mark on the scoreboard with a fumble return by defensive back TJ Simmons.
In the second, quarterback Jameel Sewell and the Nebraska offense took control of the game scor-
ing thirty-five points. One of the League’s top linebackers, Pig Brown tallied a 15-yard interception
return keeping the Danger’s momentum high through halftime.

changing touchdowns, Danger defensive back Harcourt Farquharson minimalized the Iowa possession
with an interception. Capitalizing on the opportunity, Nebraska scored the final points of the quarter.

fore the final buzzer. Nebraska Danger 76, Iowa Barnstormers 50.
Leading the receiving team for the Barnstormers, both Daron Clark and Lemans Casimier tallied over
85 yards each with a collective three touchdowns. Defensively, the Barnstormers were led by defen-

Iowa Barnstormers Score Season High in Home Opener
Barnstormers Defeat Blizzard, 75-64
Des Moines, IA – The Iowa Barnstormers (2-3) defeated the Green Bay Blizzard (2-3) 75-64 in their
home opener and in front of 6,176 fans at Wells Fargo Arena.
Getting their chance to hit the scoreboard first, the Iowa Barnstormers had the perfect sequence of
plays for the IFL home opener. The Barnstormers took the Blizzard by surprise by keeping the ball
on the ground until entering the red zone. Iowa QB Robbie Nallenweg then connected with WR Chris
Bowden in the end zone. Looking to gain an early lead, the Barnstormers would go for two. With
WR Lemans Casimier in the pocket, he found fellow receiver Brady Roland for the score. Within the
first five minutes, the Barnstormers took an 8-0 lead. Going back-and-forth, the rival Blizzard kept
up the pace. With credit to LB Austin Benson for an interception, the Barnstormers stole the ball and
snuck in to the end zone with a Nallenweg carry. A Barnstormers rouge, kick return touchdown, and
52 yard field goal rounded out an exciting first quarter for the home team. Iowa Barnstormers 32,
Green Bay Blizzard 25.
In a slower second quarter, Iowa was nearly outscored by Green Bay. Only collecting sixteen points,
the Blizzard offense narrowed the margin by tallying fifteen. Two long touchdowns from Nallenweg
to Roland kept the Barnstormers in the lead. Green Bay’s leading receiver Demarius Washington col-
lected another touchdown score while Iowa’s Benson snagged his second interception of the night.
At the half, the Barnstormers led by fourteen. Iowa Barnstormers 48, Green Bay Blizzard 34.
Coming out of the locker room, the Barnstormers stayed just out of reach. Starting with the Blizzard,
each team exchanged a pair of touchdowns. For his first touchdown of the night, receiver Johnny
Thomas scored for Iowa. A new recruit for the Barnstormers offense, running back Robbie Rouse
also tallied his first of two touchdowns for the night. Iowa Barnstormers 62, Green Bay Blizzard 48.
Although the Barnstormers held a solid lead, the team did not let their visitor get back in to the
game. Even a touchdown and two-point conversion with less than a minute left on the clock would
not be enough for the Blizzard to take the victory. At the final buzzer, Iowa Barnstormers 75, Green
Bay Blizzard 64.

In the first quarter of the matchup between the Iowa Barnstormers and the Sioux Falls Storm, the
Storm proved their status as the top contender and reigning champion of the Indoor Football League.

Des Moines, IA – In the final moments of the game, the Iowa Barnstormers (3-6) defeated the Bill-
ings Wolves (1-8) Friday evening at MetraPark Arena in Billings, Montana.
The Iowa Barnstormers started out their evening with a rough start, losing the team’s first possession
on a fumbled kick return. Going back and forth as each team found their groove, the Wolves were
the first to find the end zone with a long 42-yard touchdown reception by receiver Austin Coleman.
Iowa receiver Johnny Thomas snagged a quick one in the air from quarterback Taylor Genuser to
bring the Barnstormers in to the game. At the end of the first, Billings Wolves 7, Iowa Barnstormers

Continuously making their way down the field, the Wolves struggled to find the end zone. Iowa’s

Getting their chance to hit the scoreboard first, the Iowa Barnstormers had the perfect sequence of plays for the IFL home opener. The Barnstormers took the Blizzard by surprise by keeping the ball on the ground until entering the red zone. Iowa QB Robbie Nallenweg then connected with WR Chris Bowden in the end zone. Looking to gain an early lead, the Barnstormers would go for two. With WR Lemans Casimier in the pocket, he found fellow receiver Brady Roland for the score. Within the first five minutes, the Barnstormers took an 8-0 lead. Going back-and-forth, the rival Blizzard kept up the pace.
