For this part of the exam, the most effective strategy is to read the whole
sentence where the BLANK is, and pay attention to the word which
follows this blank, as well as looking at the words before.
Like this, we can think of the WORD we have to write:
- AN ARTICLE: a, an the
- A DETERMINER: this, that, these, those, my, his, etc
- A QUANTIFIER: some, any, few, etc
- A PRONOUN : yours, ours, which, whose, that
- a PREPOSITION
- any WORD CLASS: VERB, ADVERB, NOUN OR ADJECTIVE
It is advisable to re-read the sentence again after deciding which word to
write.
