We designed a sensor system that detects rain and rolls up the windows
The object is to grant the driver the convenience of having his or her car windows automatically close in
the event of rain
3. Features
● Rolls up windows in unattended
vehicle when it begins to rain
● Only activated when car ignition is off
● Window stops if obstruction in pathof
window.
● Easily interfaced with power windows
in vehicles
4. Benefits
• Protects the inside of a vehicle from water damage caused by rain
• Provides convenience to drivers by allowing them to keep windows open while
they are away and not having to rush out to close them if it begins to rain

1. Micro controller (AT89S52 )

4. Regulated power supply (RPS)
5. LED indicator
6. Stepper motor

7. SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION
This project is implemented using following
software’s:
• KEIL compiler
• PROTEUS
KEIL
• Keil compiler is software used where the machine language code is written and compiled.
• After compilation, the machine source code is converted into hex code which is to be
dumped into the microcontroller for further processing.
• Keil compiler also supports C language code.
8. Proteus is a software used for microcontroller simulation, schematic capture, and printed circuit
board design.
It is developed by “Lab centre Electronics”.
Proteus is a Virtual System Modelling that combines circuit simulation, animated components
and microprocessor models to co-simulate the complete microcontroller based designs.
This is the perfect tool for engineers to test their microcontroller designs before constructing a
physical prototype in real time.

directly.
● ➨The cost of overall system increases as additional components are needed
along with rain sensor.
● ➨In order to avoid false detection of rain, it requires rain sensors to take
decision after few minutes.
