were forced into signing the treaty which put total blame onto them. One of the terms of
the treaty was the War Guilt Clause which stated that Germany had to accept full blame
for causing World War 1. This formed the basis for other harsh terms such as territorial
losses and huge reparations. Hence, the Germans found this unfair because they were not
the only aggressor of World War 1 and were not the only one involved in the war. They did
