What I learned:
- Consistently identifying positive attributes about myself made me
discover a certain strength (helpfulness) which I previously overlooked. I
repeated “helpful” in my journal five times.
- It is hard to write positively and compliment myself myself on a bad day.
However, finding positive aspects of myself even on a bad day, makes me
more aware and proud of my personal growth and the qualities that makes
me get through my tough days.
- I realized committing to writinig a journal is hard, as it has been difficult
to stay consistent
- I feel like Keeping a journal of positive words only shifted my
perspective into a positive and self-affirming mindset. It counteracs
negative self-perceptions
8. Picnic!
We took a deep dive into how different factors shape
the relationship between humans and the natural
world! It was an exciting opportunity to understand
how science and society connect to tackle
environmental challenges. We also got to explore the
roles and viewpoints of various factors involved in
complex issues like climate change adaptation and
inequity.
We had lots of interesting conversation, delicious
food and wore mismatched socks!

We had an engaging and
enlightening lecture on digital
culture that gave us a glimpse
into the fascinating world of
technology. Not only did we learn
about the incredible
advancements and benefits, but
we also discussed some of the
concerns and potential risks
associated with it. It was an
exciting and thought-provoking
session that left us with a better
understanding of the impact of
technology on our lives.
14. Dr. AbdelSalm Lecture
I had a captivating, light, and
informative lecture on statistics
and scientific research. We
discussed the fundamentals of
descriptive and inferential
statistics, and the instructor
provided examples of data
analysis using accessible and
user-friendly open-source
statistical software like SPSS. It
was an engaging lecture that
made the subject matter super
approachable and enjoyable by
our entire class.
15. Quest Trip!

The highlight of the trip
was the bus ride! I had the
opportunity to get to
know my classmates
better. It was a memorable
experience. We bonded,
shared stories, and
enjoyed each other's
company during the
entirety of the trip.
The shared adrenaline
rush definitely
helped us bond!
Never felt more excited to
attend university and
be surrounded by a
wonderful class and
professor
18. For our very final day together, we had a potluck where all students wore their
beautiful cultural clothing and shared their traditional food!
