New Scheme Launched by Aditya Birla Sun Life MF
 The investment objective of the Index Fund is to generate returns corresponding to
the total returns of the securities as represented by the CRISIL IBX Gilt Index – April
2029 before expenses, subject to tracking errors.
 The New Fund Offer (NFO) opened on October 11 and will close on October 18.
 Risk Category – Moderate

New Scheme Launched by HDFC MF
 HDFC Silver ETF FOF is an open-ended Fund of Fund scheme seeking capital
appreciation by investing in units of HDFC Silver ETF.
 The fund house said that exposure to silver is good due to its multi-purpose utility. It
provides an opportunity to leverage on the greater adoption of Silver for new age
technologies – solar power, electric vehicles, and to industrial use cases from
electrical switches to chemical producing catalysts, while hedging against currency
risk.
 The New Fund Offer opens on October 7 and will close for subscription on October
21.
 Risk Category – Very High

New Scheme Launched by ICICI MF
 The objective of the scheme is to generate long term capital appreciation by
investing predominantly in equity and equity related securities of companies engaged
in transportation and logistics sectors.
 ICICI Prudential Transportation and Logistics Fund is open for subscription from
October 6 and will close on October 20.
 Risk Category – Very High

Equity funds see record inflow of ₹14,100 crore in September
 Inflows into equity mutual funds more than doubled to ₹14,100 crore last month against ₹6,120 crore in
August as investors used the sharp fall in valuation to re-enter the market.
 The inflow through SIP touched a new high of ₹12,976 crore against ₹12,693 crore in the previous
month, according to the Association of Mutual Funds in India.
 Thematic and flexi cap funds registered the highest inflow of ₹4,419 crore (outflow of ₹1,267 crore) and
₹2,401 crore (₹2,100 crore), respectively, while mid and small cap funds recorded net investments of
₹2,151 crore (₹1,479 crore) and ₹1,825 crore (₹1,260 crore), respectively.

 Retail inflation based on the CPI surged to 7.41 per cent in September from 7 per cent in August.
 The annual U.S. inflation rate was little changed last month, hitting 8.2% year over year compared with
August's 8.3%
 The World Bank has lowered growth forecast for India by 1 percentage point from its June forecast to 6.5 per
cent for FY23. This is in line with the forecast for entire South Asia.
 UPI transactions touched a new high of ₹11.2-lakh crore in September, five months after it crossed the
milestone of transactions worth ₹10-lakh crore in May 2022.
 HSBC Asset Management (India) has received approval from the SEBI to fully acquire L&T Investment
Management Limited.
