- Industry average – 33% of operating costs go towards payroll – 1/3 of your revenue. Add to this cost the cost of replacing a team member…adds up to 200% of the cost of that positions payroll when replacing a position. What are the costs involved? Lost productivity, recruiting (advertising, employee referral costs), training costs, new hire costs, lost sales costs. $20,000 position = $40,000 replacement cost! This doesn’t include loss of moral, changing of team dynamics or other intangible impacts on your business. Think about your team – they have direct contact with your members and prospects on a daily basis – how would it impact your facility to lose those team member who have relationships with your members?
