2. We love to be ourselves, to have freedom to be on our own topics.
My name is Aiden Letson and listening to the radio makes me feel at ease and
confident.
My radio mates and I often go live to talk about our love of anime, especially talking
about new shows we are watching. We love to play a variety of music, one day we
could be vibing to Mega Tron, another day we would be listening to Pretty Girl,
maybe even better in Serto. I'm often motivated by my dad, who is on the radio, and
I think that keeps me here day in and day out. When I create my radio work I often
feel at ease knowing that I'm doing all I can do, and I feel like we are doing
something that could make a difference and that I am heard. Most of my work isn't
scripted because it feels like it makes more sense to just speak my mind and give an
honest and truthful opinion on a lot of different topics.
About me
3. Title: black history month
Description of Project:
I will talk about black history and malcolm x. I talk about how he created change in
the black community
Reflection on process and project:
I think it was good for the most part. One thing I think I could have done better was
use more sound bits and cleaner cuts. I think i did a good job on editing it along
with speaking clearly
4. Title: women's history month
Description of Project:
I pick a woman who is working for change in our world and talk about
their contributions to society
Reflection on process and project:
I picked Lady gaga which I think was a little out of the box. I Think i had
good sound bits along with a good voice. I do that it could have been a
more infuncle person
5. Title: jet blast
Description of Project:
Me and virgil's takes on what is the best anime. In a jet blast.
Reflection on process and project:
I think Virgil and I did really well. I think our teamwork was good along with our topic. I
do think it could have been edit to be better and have more music
6. This class was an interesting class with switching teachers and constant
changes. It was hard to do one thing at once or really get into a groove.
Some classes were easier than others. There were also problems
always popping up throughout the year. We learned how to work a
soundboard along with how to talk on the radio. This was a fun
experience. Overall, Franklin was also a great teacher who made this
class the slightest bit of enjoyment even when you really didn't want to
come to class. My favorite time was the start of the year when we did jet
blast and we started to make our own group which was a lot of fun and
we all got to learn how to write scripts along with how to work as a tech
in a radio room. So ultimately, radio was a fun class and I would
recommend it.

Job Title: Host
Job ID #:93579
Company Name: npr
Receiving person or department: NPR hiring
Dear NPR Hiring Manager,
My name is Aiden Letson and I think I would be a perfect fit for being a host on a new radio show. I think I would be a cover host because I have
experience hosting and producing my own shows and have knowledge of technology needed to run the radio. I saw this job posting by my father
who is an award winning radio host who has taught me everything I know. I think it just goes to show why I would best fit this job.
I have a very good patience which is needed in radio because of the mistakes that come with it. I have this patience because I
have worked with kids and they teach them about the problem in today's modern world with the mosaic. I also have leadership skills that I have
developed through sports. I also learned how you have to listen to order and follow rules though being on such them. Not to mention my skills
using the board along with having hour long shows on the radio before.
● Relised live shows
● Mixing skills
● Communication skills
● Podcast
The goal at NPR is to spread awareness and to let give people the news that they need and i'm a prefect fit for this because i have been
to the moscia project where we learn about how to help kid and adults alike how to deal with discrimation weather it is thought race, gender religion
or anything that separates people. I think that gives me a leg up and shows people that I'm a good fit and I could be there to help and inform
people of inequalities going on throughout the world and also just give people the stuff they need. Thank you for the opportunity of being a host at
npr
Sincerely,
- Aiden Letson
