Pfrimmer massage is A specific series of movements applied to the
muscles of a client for the purposeof restoring proper circulation of both blood and
lymphatic fluid. It is done by using extremely detailed total bodyCross-fiber
treatment. Pfrimmer massage works for the muscles on a cellular level. It was
originally created to combat paralysis. Now it is used to couple with traditional
treatments to help with: alleviating sports injuries, trauma, occupational stresses,
arthritis, fibrositis, backache, neck tension, chronic fatigue syndrome, constipation
and circulatory problems.
Pfrimmer massage was created by Therese C. Pfrimmer. Therese was born
in Brussels, Belgium in the year 1908. moved to Wisconsin in 1914 where she was
raised. then later married and moved to detroit in Detroit, Michigan 1929. In 1938,
Therese moved to Goderich, Canada, where she created a laundry service for the
ships docking in Goderich. in 1946 she developed partial paralysis. This news
drove her to develop Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy and use it on herself. This
system reversed her condition. in 1948 she attended Chicago Schoolof Massage
Therapy under Dr. Esther Swanson and became a certified massage therapist. she
also became a Certified Physiotherapist around this time.In 1949 she moved back
to Canda and worked in serveral hosipitals to prove her system worked. In 1971
she opened the Pfrimmer Technique Deep Muscle Therapy Schooland taught her

first class. in the last nine years of her life she trained 73 Pfrimmer massage
therapist, created the international Association and developed the guidelines
concerning who, how, when and where qualified people would be trained in this
technique.

High schooldiploma to attend a class. To get your cert. you must complete the
Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Course Level I and Level II from an approved
school.
