The French Tech Club is part of the global French presence, along
with the French Tech Pavilion on the tradeshow. Our initiative is
conducted jointly by the Ministry for the digital economy, Business
France, the network of cultural Services of the Embassy of France in
the United States, the Ile de France Region, La Fonderie, the city of
Angers, Angers Austin Creative and of course af83.
This project would not have happened without the support of bu-
sinesses and media such as: Total, Le Groupe SEB, Aldebaran,
Ubergizmo and many others.

In March 2015, over 300 000 people, from the
music, film and digital markets and industries will
be attending the 27th edition of SXSW in Austin,
Texas. This festival gradually became a kind of
World Expo about digital cultural content, a huge
conference. Last year, we setup and animated the
French Tech Club during SXSW Interactive. In
2015, we extend our presence to the whole fes-
tival, including Music and Film. It’s going to be
a wonderful show presenting the best assets of
French culture.
This year, the French Tech Club, led by af83 and
Austin Angers Creative, will be set up on the
French Legation Museum grounds. In the park
surrounding one of the oldest mansions in Aus-
tin, we will manage its different areas:
A stage, providing an area for conferences,
meetings and sharing time, during the day and a
festive area around film screenings and live enter-
tainment during the evening.
A Showroom which will host the best of digital,
music and movies, with many connected devices,
digital artwork,
A media room will host the best of the French
media, for the duration of the festival, there they
will install their studios to write, shoot, record
and broadcast daily.
A popup gourmet / gastronomique restaurant
and many culinary areas and bars.
We will be part of the incredible wave of content generated by communication before,
during and after the event.
We will present every day a solid program full of French culture and spirit in a remarkable
setting.

We offer you to participate to the second edition of the united French presence on the SXSW
festival. Your brand will be put forward before, during and after the event thanks to a 360° com-
munication plan.
Our goal is to allow all companies, big and small, to be a part of the French Tech Club. This is

You will become a partner and be represented on all communication campaigns (logo on printed
and online communication media).
Your brand will be visible in all the areas of the French Tech Club: in the photo studio, on the public
walk and in the VIP area + Backstage. It will also be a part of all the contents generated on and
around the French Tech Club.
You will be on the schedule according to your needs for branded animations, meetings or de-

“Conferences” non official with the potential presence of French participants on selection. On
stage or in a dedicated place. The program will be announced upstream.
Talking time can be coupled with restaurant reservation, to continue the debate in smaller groups.
“Show-room” demonstration place to host French innovations and show their functioning. Located
at the very heart of the French Tech Club to benefit from the different activities around. We can put
together a demonstration program.
“Concert” on the main stage, sponsored by a French corporation or by a territory brand with a
meeting time around a brunch or an aperitif.
“Resources Space” for French people in SxSW. Offering multiple services: rest, food, power sup-
ply and advices. These options allow to make qualified contacts and build enriching feedbacks.
“Media Room” a very important space dedicated to the French press, allowing an immediate
contact with journalists. Targeted reception for teams with useful services (Bikes, Wi-Fi, shopping,
logistic, transports...), installation of recording studios and shooting place.
Example of sponsored event The SEB Group organizes a half-day Food  Tech, with speech on
stage (15 speakers, TED like), demonstrations, tasting, a croissan-
terie...
LE FRENCH TECH CLUB
During SxSW
Tuesday, March 17 - the crossroads of two festivals - is considered as a crucial day for the acti-
vation and recognition of the French Tech Club. The schedule will be different from other days,
mixing activation time and selected contents.
“Brunch France” a gathering around a formal time. The opening by an official presentation and the
closure by a speech from a renowned guest will be on invitation only.
“Apéritif”, gather at an opportune hour around a gourmet content to be defined (aperitif by the
chefs, invitation of an American one, etc.) and a composed choice of drinks.
“FRANCE !”, an evening around our best artists on the festival. Three sets with emblematic and
awaited French artists.
“Press Conference” (content and form to be written), this press conference from Austin will stren-
gthen the legitimacy of the operation and set forth the impacts.
LE FRENCH TECH CLUB
ON march 17th
FRENCH bistroFRENCH bistro
Chez Rémi
This restaurant is the main actor of French Bistro. The chefs Rémi Fournier and Richard Audren
are committed with the quality of their products and simple transformations favoring the taste.
Ups The restaurant opens every evening for 40 covers. As early as January 2015, bookings
are open to attract the attention of the press. The emphasis is on local products and taste.
Meal, price per cover: $ 200-400
Une île
A starred restaurant opened just for two exceptional evenings during SXSW. To Catherine and
Gerard Bossé, quality of products is not an option it’s a religion. Their continuous work and
dedication made their place famous in France.
Ups A pop-up restaurant, a unique and very special opportunity to savor local products ma-
gnified by a starred Chef.
Meal, price per cover: $ 400
Open every day.
The French Bistro is a panel of units representing various specialties of French gastronomy and
led by businesses from Angers city. It’s composed of:
Le cercle rouge
“Le Cercle Rouge” led by Gilles Loquien is the French Tech Club Wine Bar. There will be wines
from the Angers Loire Valley and also from other partners area.
Ups The goal is to tell the wine-growers and vineyards story and use these as a differentiation
factor.
Glass, price: $ 8-10
Un brin folk
“Un Brin Folk” has the largest amount of opening. Presented by the couple Pierrick Le Drian
and Marion Aubert, established in Angers, it’s is a bar of slice of bread: “tartines”. Based on the
principle of diversity and freshness, “tartines” offer a wide variety of tastes.
Ups The positioning of «Brin Folk» is decisive for two reasons, its opening hours which ensure
the public will be able to find something to eat but also the offer at a much lower cost than
the restaurant. We can again emphasize the origin of the products.
Sandwiches, price: $ 10-30
métropolitain
“Métropolitain”, the cocktail bar. An extra module highlighting French products and recognized
cocktails. Questions of decorations and «placing the colors» are the asset of this module. The
Content is free and to be written to put forward the French brands used in famous cocktails and
create focus on forgotten cocktails.
Ups This module is not intended to be positioned without a partner. Its gauge can be flexible.
It can be thought of as a VIP space to watch concerts, as a continuously open space to
serve customers or as a presentation space and meetings for companies, managers of
bars in the city, etc.

There will be different terrines prepared and cooked by the chefs of the restaurant.
Ups It can also be an opportunity for local or outside Chefs to make discover their cooking.

Become a partner of the French Tech Club SxSW 2015

  • 2. The French Tech Club is part of the global French presence, along with the French Tech Pavilion on the tradeshow. Our initiative is conducted jointly by the Ministry for the digital economy, Business France, the network of cultural Services of the Embassy of France in the United States, the Ile de France Region, La Fonderie, the city of Angers, Angers Austin Creative and of course af83. This project would not have happened without the support of bu- sinesses and media such as: Total, Le Groupe SEB, Aldebaran, Ubergizmo and many others. Join us in this new edition to shine with France together! Louis Montagne, on behalf of all the French Tech Club team louis@af83.com In March 2015, over 300 000 people, from the music, film and digital markets and industries will be attending the 27th edition of SXSW in Austin, Texas. This festival gradually became a kind of World Expo about digital cultural content, a huge conference. Last year, we setup and animated the French Tech Club during SXSW Interactive. In 2015, we extend our presence to the whole fes- tival, including Music and Film. It’s going to be a wonderful show presenting the best assets of French culture. This year, the French Tech Club, led by af83 and Austin Angers Creative, will be set up on the French Legation Museum grounds. In the park surrounding one of the oldest mansions in Aus- tin, we will manage its different areas: A stage, providing an area for conferences, meetings and sharing time, during the day and a festive area around film screenings and live enter- tainment during the evening. A Showroom which will host the best of digital, music and movies, with many connected devices, digital artwork, A media room will host the best of the French media, for the duration of the festival, there they will install their studios to write, shoot, record and broadcast daily. A popup gourmet / gastronomique restaurant and many culinary areas and bars. We will be part of the incredible wave of content generated by communication before, during and after the event. Talking time can be coupled with restaurant reservation, to continue the debate in smaller groups. “Show-room” demonstration place to host French innovations and show their functioning. Located at the very heart of the French Tech Club to benefit from the different activities around. We can put together a demonstration program. “Concert” on the main stage, sponsored by a French corporation or by a territory brand with a meeting time around a brunch or an aperitif. “Resources Space” for French people in SxSW. These options allow to make qualified contacts and build enriching feedbacks. “Media Room” a very important space dedicated to the French press, allowing an immediate contact with journalists. Targeted reception for teams with useful services (Bikes, Wi-Fi, shopping, logistic, transports...), installation of recording studios and shooting place. Example of sponsored event The SEB Group organizes a half-day Food Tech, with speech on stage (15 speakers, TED like), demonstrations, tasting, a croissan- terie... LE FRENCH TECH CLUB During SxSW Tuesday, March 17 - the crossroads of two festivals - is considered as a crucial day for the acti- vation and recognition of the French Tech Club. The schedule will be different from other days, mixing activation time and selected contents. “Brunch France” a gathering around a formal time. The opening by an official presentation and the closure by a speech from a renowned guest will be on invitation only. “Apéritif”, gather at an opportune hour around a gourmet content to be defined (aperitif by the chefs, invitation of an American one, etc.) and a composed choice of drinks. “FRANCE !”, an evening around our best artists on the festival. Three sets with emblematic and awaited French artists. “Press Conference” (content and form to be written), this press conference from Austin will stren- gthen the legitimacy of the operation and set forth the impacts.   • 6. FRENCH bistroFRENCH bistro Chez Rémi This restaurant is the main actor of French Bistro. The chefs Rémi Fournier and Richard Audren are committed with the quality of their products and simple transformations favoring the taste. Ups The restaurant opens every evening for 40 covers. As early as January 2015, bookings are open to attract the attention of the press. The emphasis is on local products and taste. Meal, price per cover: $ 200-400 Une île A starred restaurant opened just for two exceptional evenings during SXSW. To Catherine and Gerard Bossé, quality of products is not an option it’s a religion. Their continuous work and dedication made their place famous in France. Ups A pop-up restaurant, a unique and very special opportunity to savor local products ma- gnified by a starred Chef. Meal, price per cover: $ 400 Open every day. The French Bistro is a panel of units representing various specialties of French gastronomy and led by businesses from Angers city. It’s composed of: Le cercle rouge “Le Cercle Rouge” led by Gilles Loquien is the French Tech Club Wine Bar. There will be wines from the Angers Loire Valley and also from other partners area. Ups The goal is to tell the wine-growers and vineyards story and use these as a differentiation factor. Glass, price: $ 8-10 Un brin folk “Un Brin Folk” has the largest amount of opening. Presented by the couple Pierrick Le Drian and Marion Aubert, established in Angers, it’s is a bar of slice of bread: “tartines”. Based on the principle of diversity and freshness, “tartines” offer a wide variety of tastes. Ups The positioning of «Brin Folk» is decisive for two reasons, its opening hours which ensure the public will be able to find something to eat but also the offer at a much lower cost than the restaurant. We can again emphasize the origin of the products. Sandwiches, price: $ 10-30
  • 7. métropolitain “Métropolitain”, the cocktail bar. An extra module highlighting French products and recognized cocktails. Questions of decorations and «placing the colors» are the asset of this module. The Content is free and to be written to put forward the French brands used in famous cocktails and create focus on forgotten cocktails. Ups This module is not intended to be positioned without a partner. Its gauge can be flexible. It can be thought of as a VIP space to watch concerts, as a continuously open space to serve customers or as a presentation space and meetings for companies, managers of bars in the city, etc. le bar à terrine There will be different terrines prepared and cooked by the chefs of the restaurant.
