7. Wreaths Across America will
host ceremonies on 14
December .Volunteers will be
placing wreaths at the graves
of soldiers in designated
sections at each of the two
local cemeteries in the county
following brief ceremonies that
begin at 11 a.m. during which
wreaths for each branch of the
military will be laid.

10. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Corvias Foundation-Scholarship & Grant applications are now available starting Nov 1st. Ten 4year scholarships will be awarded ($50,000 scholarships). Visit their website at:
http://corviasfoundation.org/ and apply! Applications must be submitted by February 13,
2014 11:59 EST.
•Applications do NOT have to live in Corvias Military housing to be eligible. Open to
graduating high school seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA at time of application.
•$12,500 per year for four years
•Scholars must attend a four-year institution
Commissary Scholarships for Military Children- Opened on Dec 3, 2013. To get full details go
to www.commissaries.com or www.militaryscholar.org. Deadline to submit is Feb 28, 2014Keep in mind the scholarship needs to be in hand on this date: NOT POSTMARKED Date to the
commissary.
Elks Most valuable Student Scholarship: applications are available online at
www.elks.org/enf/scholars/mvs.cfm. For High School Senior can apply. Applications must be
received at JC Elks Lodge by 5pm on Dec 7 th. See flyer below.
