2. Objectives of PMAY
The central government has launched to provide the
houses to the poor people of the country. The main
motto of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Karnataka
scheme is to focus the poor people who are not having
their own houses.

3. Eligibility for PMAY
• The applicant should be the permanent
resident of India.
• The annual income of the candidate should
not be more than 3 Lakh per annum.
• The applicant should not own his/her pucca
house in any state of the country.
• The applicant must be from LIG, EWS or BPL
category.

4. Summary of PMAY
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is launched by Narendra
Modi to provide the houses to the poor people. This
scheme will be completed in three phases till 2022.
The central government has selected 4041 cities
throughout the country where the houses have to be
constructed under PM Awas Yojana.
