24. Transit Shelter Builds – France Click to access the video: http://youtu.be/AbC_Lq0cthk Citrus fruits produce electricity. DDB Paris put that knowledge to clever use recently with an electric Tropicana billboard that was completely powered by oranges. Working with London production house Unit9, Agency attached 2,500 oranges to two big slabs of wood fitted with spikes of zinc and copper. The acidic juice of the oranges dissolved the metals, causing their electrons to react with each other and create an electrical current. That current powered a light panel that read, "Energie naturelle," making the point that oranges have natural energy that can spark your own personal human circuits as well. So as not to appear wasteful, the agency said it would recycle the oranges "either by composting or by anaerobic digestion," the latter surely being a curious science-fair .project all its own

30. Gravity defying installations - Argentina Click below to access the video: http:// www.youtube.com/watch?v =NxQqykRm2rc&feature= player_embedded The ad depicts 3,000 ping-pong balls being pushed up into the air by industrial strength air compressors as they slowly form together to create a 72 square foot image of the new shoe hovering above the ground. The concept was no mean feet, requiring the engineering skills of a real life rocket scientist, the pressure power of 24 separate air valves and 800 carefully placed guide lines for the balls to traverse up. What’s particularly nice about Asics effort is that it has avoided the lure of CGI gimmickry, instead opting to put effort into showcasing their engineering capabilities. It makes for a much more natural positioning, one that further enhances the message of a shoe that is supposed to encourage ‘natural’ foot movement
