Provided the DCS detail electrical design for the Delta V system that supported the function of the Kiln #1 as well as the common equipment to both Kilns in the causticarea. The I/O count was around 220 analog points and 40 discrete points.Kiln #1 and common equipment converted over to Delta V DCS control consisted of4 Delta V controller panels. LSI provided power drawings, communication drawings, and individual card drawingsassociated with these four Delta V controller panels.LSI provided 70 new drawings and 200 existing drawings were modified.Scope of work included 260 DST tags configured with 175 new controlModules and 14 new graphics. The configuration was simulated and tested prior to installation. The simulation application was accomplished completely within Delta V, no external simulationsoftware was utilized. Configuration and Screen development began in Oct. 2009 with installation beginning in March 2010.All configuration and screen development was completed by June 2010. Installation is still going on inSections.LSI project amount so far is $345k.
