2. • When conducting our online audience
research we used Facebook to reach out
to the audience. We posted a status on
each of our walls which would be seen
by many of the people that we are
friends with. The range of people that
saw our post aged from 16-25 which is a
perfect balance as they fit into our
target audience.
ONLINE
AUDIENCE
RESEARCH
USING WEB 2.0
3. • The use of Web 2.0 allowed for us to
reach a wider audience however it is the
appropriate audience. We posted our
questionnaire on Facebook and other
means of Web 2.0 like Twitter and
instant messaging services to get quick
feedback.
QUESTIONS…
4. • From the feedback we got online we have
concluded that our target audience are
interested in unsigned bands/artists. They
are also more interested in seeing musical
footage rather than personal, backstage
footage. Furthermore the majority have
said that they would prefer narration to
be as text rather than voice over. They
prefer more masculine colours for the
colour scheme of the poster, this suggests
that males are more interested. They also
liked images rather than iconography for
the poster and they also preferred article
discussions to be focussed around pictures
rather than text. Finally they preferred
that the article be mostly a review rather
than an extension of the documentary.
CONCLUSION..
