How to keep neighbor away from Party?
My next door neighbor, who is only 8 years old, is good at messing up things whenever my friends are over at my
house. She has gained a bad reputation with me, my friends, and my parents. If or when I have my Alice In
Wonderland Outdoor Valentines Day party, she will probably ride over on her scooter, dressed up as Alice or the
Cheshire Cat, (If she is told that it’s a costume party) and she’ll want to come and join the party. I’ve had several
parties before, and most of them have been ruined by her. Countless sleepovers and friend visits have been ruined
by her. Here are some examples of what she’s done:
She turned on our water hose and threw water balloons at us, and my friends ended up going home wet in clothes
they weren’t supposed to mess up.
My friends have had their feelings hurt because she called them “Fat” or said something else ugly.
My parents always tell me that she’s a little girl and doesn’t mean it, but she’s really upset us and my friends don’t like
her. I figured a few ways to get her away from the party:
Don’t even tell her about the party.
If she shows up during the party chase her away with Flamingo Lawn ornaments while we’re playing Wonderland
Croquet.
She will probably realize it’s a party when cars pull up to the house, but I’m still not sure how to keep her away! Please
help.
I’m not sure she’ll believe we’re sick, and I don’t have the money to bribe her.

So your friends actually care what an 8 year old says? I’d tell her to go home and that she isn’t welcome at your
5. house. Threaten to call the fuzz if she don’t go home with her Barbie scooter. Problem solved.

How to install/plug in outdoor Christmas lights without an outdoor outlet?
This is the first year I’ll be decorating outdoors. I live in a townhouse style apartment but I’ll only be decorating the first
floor. A few of my neighbors have already put lights up and their extension cords run through their doors or windows.
Is this an okay method? I plan on buying a light socket adapter with two outlets for my porch light. I can plug two light
sets into that but I’ll still need an extension cord for the lawn lights and ornaments. There isn’t an outlet on the
apartment exterior so how should I go about this? Any suggestions and/or tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks and
happy holidays.
@thedonkey, Great and helpful answer. Thanks!

You can either run a power strip off the porch light outlet adapter or you can run the cord out of the window by
using some insulation/weather stripping (which u can buy at home depot or something) or simply by laying an old
towel down inside the sill so that the window can close most of the way and you aren’t losing heat. The downside
to doing this is the lack of security, I would recommend that you unplug it and remove the cord each time u leave
the house.

Why do people keep their dogs outside?
I am looking for some reasonable excuses. Because honestly, I have never understood this practice.
Dogs, like their ancestors the wolves, are pack animals. In the wild, wolves are with their packs 24/7. Of course there
is the occasional lone wolf, but they are usually searching for new pack members. In captivity, dogs are just as eager
for a pack as their cousins the wolf. Their pack, which is us, humans. It is mentally cruel, IMHO, to keep a dog away
from their pack. Especially if they are kept alone outside without even another dog. Sure, you MAY give your dog 1-2
hours of attention a day, but compare that to the 12 hours your dog could spend laying next to you or under your feet,
and that 2 hours is nothing.
6. If you are only going to keep your dog outside, why don’t you get a lawn ornament instead??
So honestly, that is my opinion. I don’t understand why people keep their dogs outside. If you keep your dog outside,
why? What is your valid excuse?
BTW, working dogs, I’m a little more leniant on. Sure, a K9 officer may kennel his dog in outdoor runs at night, but this
is also an animal that goes to work with this officer every single day. Officers usually have 10-12 hour shifts. SO, that
little time spent kenneled outside is nothing.
EDIT: Maybe people have excuses like “the dog is too big for the house” (I have a 90lb shepherd and a pup that will be
100+lbs in a small 2 bedroom house that has a decent sized yard. We manage), “my parents don’t like dogs inside”,
“Im allergic”, “the dog gets dirty, and we don’t want the house dirty”… If you have excuses like these, which in my mind
aren’t really valid, why did you get a dog in the first place?? In my mind, dog’s don’t just need a couple hours of play
and attention. They thrive on just being next to you. Laying in the same room, sleeping at the foot of your bed at night.
Jack Shmitt, that is totally understandable. Our Husky was the same way. In the winter timer, you could not keep that
dog inside. He would sit at the door whining to go outside constantly

Outside dogs who insist on outside is one matter, but in places where weather gets down to -30 degrees, a
shelter is not going to keep the dog from frostbite.
I’m for companion dogs. I like my dogs with me and they seem to like it as well, When one has “pets”, they’re part
of the family, and I wouldn’t leave my child out in 30 below weather, two-legged or four legged.

Are you starting a business from a catalog? It sounds fairly eclectic. If you want your name to help sell, you need to
specialize in a certain area. Something like want you have can be named after anything. …Monkey Business with

Want to start my own Landscaping Business But not sure how to do that?
I have been told by many that my work is very beautiful and that I should go into business for myself. I love to design
yards and I feel I am very good at it. I have never had my own business before so I really don’t even know where to
start. Do I need a licence for this? When and If I did start do I pay for all the lawn design and then charge them for it
afterwards? How much does ones usually charge for something like this? I know it cost me a pretty penny to do my
own yard.LOL Plus all the time I had into it. I built my own ponds, bridges, flower pots, Large and small driftwood
decor, painted what ever needed to be painted, had several decor water pumps running, Large stumps of wood for
some of the water decor pumps to sit on. I halled in lava rocks, river rocks, large bolder rocks for design, many flower
plants, wind chimes, tie kie torches, indoor outdoor rope lights that swirled through the ground plants, ground
ornaments, ground lights, green viens through the back fencing, ect
