TV chef and best-selling author Gabriele Corcos joins experts from
food media and VR content to discuss how virtual reality can impact
cooking, dining, commerce, and more in our daily lives - now and in
the future.
In addition to Gabriele, the panel will feature Cathy Hackl, one of
the most influential Latina voices in VR; Gordon Meyer, YouVisit

Gabriele Corcos is the creator, host and producer of
Extra Virgin on Cooking Channel. He’s a New York Times
bestselling author, James Beard Award Recipient, and
Chef/Owner of The Tuscan Gun - Officine Alimentari, a
restaurant in Brooklyn, NY. Born in Italy, Gabriele
Corcos was raised in the Olive Country where his
grandmother and mother taught him everything he
knows about Tuscan food. His hit Cooking Channel
show, Extra Virgin, invites viewers into his family’s
Brooklyn home, where Gabriele and his wife, actress
Debi Mazar, share their passion for food and each
other. He has an insatiable fascination with food, and
an equal thirst for innovation. He’s turned to
emerging forms of media, like virtual reality, to help
promote his brand, books, and restaurant.

8. CATHY HACKL
PANELISTS
Cathy is considered one of the most influential female
and Latino voices in the VR/AR industry. She worked
in journalism for outlets like CNN, Discovery
Communications, ABC News and Fox. She was
nominated for an Emmy-award in 2007. Is currently
working as an augmented reality and mixed reality
producer and was selected as one of just 100
participants for the Oculus Launchpad Class of 2017.
Cathy worked with Future Lighthouse, the VR studio
that created the #BeefeaterXO VR campaign that took
viewers inside the brain of Michelin 3-star chef, Daviz
Muñoz. The experience was the first ever VR piece
nominated by a Tribeca X Award by the Tribeca Film
Festival.

9. GORDON MEYER
PANELISTS
Gordon Meyer is the Director of Marketing for
YouVisit, the global leader in creating interactive
virtual reality experiences for various industries. As a
digital marketing industry veteran, Meyer was one of
the first 30 employees at Razorfish, servicing Fortune
100 clients such as Schwab and Ford Motorcars as
they formulated their digital strategy in the 1990s.
Gordon then joined Sirius Satellite Radio in 2005,
which during his tenure overtook and merged with
competitor XM Radio, experiencing staggering
subscriber growth from 800k subscribers to over 26M
active subscriptions. In 2015, Meyer was named one
of Brand Innovators’ “40 Under 40 Brand Marketers.”

PANELISTS
Eric Gillin is the digital general manager of
Architectural Digest, Conde Nast Traveler, and the Food
Innovation Group, running digital product strategy
across both Epicurious and Bon Appetit. In February
2015, Gillin relaunched the Epicurious brand and
website, attracting top industry talent and building a
team to create the ultimate food resource. In the year
since relaunch, the site won a 2015 People’s Voice
Webby Award for Outstanding Food & Drink Website,
launched the Smart Timer for Apple Watch, and built
out a video business that’s one of the largest in food
media. In November 2015, Gillin was named to the
Adweek 50, the trade publication’s annual list of the
50 most indispensable executives in media.
