among people such as race, gender, age and
sexual orientation and respecting those
differences.

Benefits of Workplace Diversity
Establishing a work environment with a vast range of diversity is beneficial to both associates
and employers along with the overall corporation. Respecting individuals differences can
increase productivity, reduce lawsuits, and develop marketing opportunities. Diverse work teams
will benefit the workplace by building a fair and secure environment, allowing access to
opportunities and challenges for each employee. This process brings high value to the
organization, creating competitive edge and an increase in work productivity. By allowing
employees and associates to be educated on diversity and its issues, corporations construct a long
term image for confident recruitments, creativity, and a positive overall image of the business.

A successful manager has certain skills that are necessary
to create a successful diverse workplace. Managers must
be aware and understanding of misconduct and also in
their own cultural differences. A diverse workplace is sure
to be successful in the future.

● Translate difference into uniqueness
● Set aside differences to focus on common ground
● Use diversity as a resource for resilience and
adaptation
