Focus on innovation activities such as demonstration,
testing, prototyping, piloting, scaling-up, miniaturisation,
design, market replication and the like; may also include
some research
Aim: bring an innovation idea (product, process, service etc.)
to industrial readiness and maturity for market introduction
Proposals shall be based on an elaborate business plan
Particular attention must be paid to IP protection and
ownership
Funding: between EUR 0.5 and 2.5 million

8. TARGET COMPANIES
for-profit SMEs
established in the EU Member states or countries associated with
Horizon 2020
must have fewer than 250 employees and an annual turnover of
no more than 50 million EUR and/or an annual balance sheet of
no more than 43 million EUR
