the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the
trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable,
and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must
clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with
immortality. 54then the saying that is written will come
true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”55
“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your
sting?”56….Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm.
Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the
work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the

8. 25Let us encourage one another—and all the more as you
see the Day approaching.
“to call to one’s side, to comfort, to console, to
strengthen.” Basically, to “put courage in”
John 14:16:

16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you
another Comforter to be with you forever— 17the
Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him,
because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you
know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. ”

toward love and good deeds. 25Let us not give up meeting
together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us
encourage one another”
Hebrews 3:12-13:

God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it
is called Today, so that none of you may be
hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”

and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted
by love, and your endurance (or perseverance) inspired by
hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
James 2:14-26:
• 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied
by action, is dead.
• 22You see that his faith and his actions were working
together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.
• 24You see that a person is justified by what he does and
not by faith alone.
• 26so faith without deeds is dead.”
