1 Day to day maintenance and preventive maintenance of all 8 x135 MW CFBC boilers, pressure–
parts, Boiler–auxiliaries, fuel firing system and dosing system of Boiler – water chemistry , turbine & its
related auxiliaries including balance of plant with cross country pipeline.
2 Maintenances of Cross country pipeline of 185 km long for availability of water requirement of power
plant.
3 Co-ordination with statutory–authority for boiler inspection with boiler– inspector and other
Government authority.
4 Planning and monitoring of maintenance activities during annual-over hauling and capital-overhauling
period for completion in stipulated time frame and without loss in generation.
6 Methodical co-ordination for isolation of the systems and equipment’s to carry out maintenance
so as to enable to complete the beak down as well as preventive maintenance in stipulated narrow
time frame to keep the auxiliaries always available.Day to day observation of running auxiliaries

liasioning IBR and Government body for entire groups boiler.
2 At Gandhinagar Power station during my service period of till date I successfully executed the
replacement and repairing job of damaged 210 MW ESP fields and its related spares, structural
beams in the year July- 2006.
3 Also in the year Aug-2008 & Nov-2008, I also successfully executed the replacement Hot Reheater
Zone of 2x 210MW boiler inner loops.
4 I had also co-ordinate for RLA study of boiler with M/s BHEL and as per the RLA reports &
recommendation action plan for 5 years is prepared and execute the work according to that
after getting due approval from IBR authority.

Achievements:-
During my service period I complete the following jobs before stipulated time period of job.
1 Re-erection and Recommissioning of damaged boiler of 120Mw Unit No: 2 at Sikka TPS due to
Boilers explosion in year 2004.
2 Recommissioning work of 120 Mw Unit no: 1 Gandhinagar TPS stage-1 Boilers damaged due to
puffing {Explosion} action of Boiler in year 2005.
3 Repairing / Recommissioning of the damaged internals of ESP unit no; 5 at Gandhinagar TPS.
4 At Sikka TPS many Time I saved the machine for out of bar due to the ash handling plant
problem.
5 During the year 2008 Repairing & replacement of new Reheater coils of boiler in unit # 3 & 4
against the existing Reheater Coils through local agencies and by this way GSECL may save
@Rs.1.5 crore.
6 I had previously worked as one of the GSECL Boiler Core group members represents the
Gandhinagar Thermal power station; where the problem related to boilers operation &
maintenance & its related auxiliaries, reduction of Boiler Tube Failure (BTF) and its practices for
reduction in the BTF. By making the continuous efforts at GTPS for boilers having capacity of
210 MW we reduce the BTF of Boiler to only 0-1 number in a year.
7 I also perform work for the liasioning work with Government department, as well as with The
IBR authority.
8 I had also assigned the work for liasioning with IBR authority & Government office for the Boiler
IBR related work for all power station of GSECL.
9 At Raj west power I tried for stabilization of CFBC boiler unit 1 & 2 and also made the correction
in boiler erection problem etc.
10 At Raj west Power four units Commercial operations is completed in 60 days in the month of
Feb-13 to Mar-13.
11 At Adani Power in Air preheater guide bearing dislocation is positioned online and avoid outage
& generation loss of unit for 10-15 days.
