Chronologically, the stages are as follows: exploring the problem, data collection
and analysis, setting goals, selecting the best action for their implementation,
evaluation of the results.
Such questions like developing a business plan, searching for investments or
grants for a start-up, preparing a presentation for investors, developing effective
marketing communication program in the social networks, as well as any other
issues related to specific business could be discussed during the consultations.

Interim results
Currently considered 24 start-ups represent various fields of activity as well as
innovative and venture start-ups, "home“ and on the basis of medium and large
existing enterprises (outsourcing).
The project helps to modernize the regional labour markets, i.e. adapt to the demands
of the modern economy, to improve the quality of human capital and the innovative
potential of the territories.
3 regional business incubators are involved in the project. Very important for all
participants is to see how you can connect innovation, education, people and
companies integrated in the local society in the framework of entrepreneurship (the
knowledge triangle). The incubators have become centres of innovation support and
thus they affect sustainable regional development through the creation of the
information points for sustainable entrepreneurship, stimulation and supporting start-
ups with a focus on sustainability in the Nizhniy Novgorod region. Also, there is a
positive correlation between the number of startups and regional growth.
9. Conclusion
Key message: most start-ups are able to integrate sustainable production and
sustainable development into their operations. This proves the viability of the idea of
sustainable development, including the production and innovation sphere
Some start-ups have the typical shortcomings: extremely optimistic sales plan;
insufficiently clear definition of the target group; poor quality of the financial plan;
weak assessment of risks or its total absence.
Our next steps: series of seminars/ trainings to familiarize/ inform start-ups about
the possibilities of sustainable development and green innovative economy,
the possibilities of obtaining organizational, methodological, financial and other
assistance in the regions,
the goals and objectives of the regional infrastructure for supporting small and
medium-sized innovative businesses.
We hope that the project contributes to the partial solution of the above problems.
