1. The Govt. of india launched the national mental health
programme NMHP in 1962.
2. Keeping in view the heavy burden of mental illness in
the community, and the absolute inadequacy of mental
health care infrastructure in the country to deal with it.
3. Mental health is a level of psychological well-being.
4. It is help the psychological state of someone who is
functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and
behavioural adjustment“.
