What purpose is the tree
to serve?
• screening?
• memorial?
• landscape or cultural
value?
What are the constraints:
• of the site?
• planning?
• finance?

4. Design
Once you have defined what is
needed you can begin to
design your response to what
is required:
• access
• consent
• on-going maintenance
• removal

5. Deliver
This should be the easy part:
• what is required has been
defined
• how the need will be met
has been designed
• over to you to deliver
