Opportunity in the Movement

2. Opportunity is one of the triggers for
success in life and ministry.
Many people miss opportunity
because it is dressed in overalls, and
it looks like work. Many don’t like the
word “works”
They think opportunity is a privilege
to enjoy what you don’t work for.
Therefore!

3. What is Opportunity?
• Opportunity is a discovered avenue for
profiting
• Opportunity is taking advantage of
situations, by the gift of god in your life.
• It is looking at a situation at hand, and by
the abilities loaded inside of you, you are
able to stretch yourself with
determination and go a step further to
be successful in it.

4. • WAYS OF LOCATING OPPORTUNITY
There are four ways of locating opportunities:

5. 1) BY SEARCH
Matt. 7 v7 ….. Ask, and it shall be giving; seek, and yee
shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
• What you don’t seek, you will never find.
• It is your responsibility to search for where the gift of
God in you can yield result in the movement.
• You must locate yourself in the movement.
Do you know why you have to search for opportunity,
Opportunity is a man that is ever in great demand, so if
he doesn’t come to you, go to him.
You don’t get anything out of life more than what you put
into it.

6. 2) CREATE OPPORTUNITIES.
If at the end of your search you can’t locate
an opportunity, then create one.
The woman with the issue of blood said in
her heart; there is no way I can get to Jesus
because of the crowd, she then created an
opportunity in her mind through creative
thinking “ If I may but touch the helm of
His garment, I will be made whole”

7. 3) CATCH OPPORTUNITIES
In other scenario, you don’t need to search for
opportunity as they just resent themselves to you.
Looking through scriptures, you will find people
who became great through the opportunity that
came their ways and which they utilized:
• David saw an opportunity in Goliath, whom he
killed and ascended the throne in Israel.
• Joseph saw an opportunity in the cup bearer in
the prison. After interpreting his dream for him,
Joseph told him “When you get to the palace
remember me”
• Opportunities are all around you.

8. 4) UTILIZE OPPORTUNITY
It is one thing to find opportunity and another
thing entirely to use it. The man by the pool of
Bethesda in Jn 5 v1-9, was there for 38 year. He
was sitting by the pool of opportunity, but was
still a misfortune.
• When opportunity is lost misfortune set in.
So, its not enough to have opportunity, you
must rise up to utilize it.

9. Therefore,
HOW DO I MAXIMIZE MY
OPPORTUNITY IN THIS MOVEMENT?
Remember the three categories of membership
status as enumerated by the president:
The walkers, the runners and the fliers.

10. BELIEVE THE VISION.
The vision you don’t believe can never profiting
you.
Hear this, very important!!
Until your faith grows on the twelve pillars of
this movement, you are just wasting your time.
Don’t only believe the vision but faith the
vision.

11. RECEIVE THE MESSENGER
In the school of success, you must follow those who
has obtain… Heb 13 v 7-8
You cannot go ahead without following those who
are ahead of you.
• You must identify your God ordained shepherd…
Jer 13 v 15-16.
• You don’t decrease under your God ordained
shepherd, but you multiply
• The root you are connected to determine the
fruits you bear
• Every leader make reference to his leader
• Whom you follows determine what follows you….
Matt 4 v 19

12. YOU MUST ENGAGE IN PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Development means a process of
growth. It suggests consistently up
‘grading your life.
It also means moving towards a more
advanced and organized life.
You must take responsibility for your
physical and spiritual development…
2Tim2v15., Lk 13v7-9

13. YOU MUST BE FOCUS
Focus determines both your impact and your
future in this movement.
• To be focus is to be forward looking
• Focus helps you to avoid distraction.
YOU MUST BE SPIRITUALY SENSITIVE
Your spiritual antenna must be strong to
determine what God is saying per time.

14. QUALITY PRAYER LIFE
Eph 6v18.- Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto
with all perseverance and supplication for all
saints,
You must increase the quality of your prayer life
first towards the advancement of the kingdom of
God.
Prayer is not a medium for asking for bread and
butter, but a platform for spiritual empowerment.

15. In Conclusion:
The end product of being a member of this
movement is to become great like our
covenant father, but the truth is that there is
no short cut to greatness. If you focus your
attention on learning the tricks of greatness,
you will never learn how to be great. But there
is a truth about greatness, one of which is
locating and making the most of opportunities.
