Grace and her family went on a holiday around Australia, visiting many places including Uluru, Turquoise Bay, Sydney, and Kakadu. Sydney is the largest city in Australia with almost 5 million people. It is known for the Sydney Harbour Bridge, one of the world's most famous bridges, and the Sydney Opera House, one of the most famous buildings in the world. Some popular things to do in Sydney include climbing the Harbour Bridge, visiting the Opera House, Taronga Zoo, Sydney Aquarium, and Bondi Beach.

It is the capital city of the state of New South Wales.

shampoo and
put them into a smaller bag. Place into the
suitcase/bag.
9. Find the toys and activities you want to
take. Put them
in the top so you can get to them easily.

2. Find each item of clothing. Check these
off the list as you find them.
3. Place the clothing somewhere that you
can see it all easily (floor, bed).
4. Roll up underwear, socks and singlet’s
and place into the smallest position in the
suitcase/bag.
5. Put your shoes neatly into the bottom of
the suitcase/bag.
6. Carefully lie folded shirts, shorts, pants,
dresses, skirts and pajamas neatly on top
of the shoes.

People visit Sydney just to climb the Harbour Bridge. You can climb all the way to the
top!
There are also paths you can walk on to cross the bridge.

The roof of the Opera House looks like sails.
There are 2500 performances and events each year – musical concerts, operas,
ballets and children’s concerts.

10. Bondi Beach
Bondi Beach is one of Australia’s famous beaches.
40,000 swim at Bondi Beach every year.
11. Sending a postcard
When people go on holidays sometimes they
like to send postcards.
Writing a postcard is like writing a short note.
Postcards have pictures on the front of the
place you are visiting.
Notes are written on the back of the
postcard about the holiday. They are
addressed, stamped, and are sent from
anywhere, to anywhere.
