Drilling Analysis and Drilling Optimization
SKILLS & ABILITIES Drilling Optimization - determining best practices from studying historic
and current wells in order to increase monetary efficiency
Drilling Analysis – Studying data from historic wells in order to accurately
predict what future wells in the same area will encounter and what they
will cost
Drilling Engineering – Preparing the planning and executing the drilling of
oil and gas wells
Drilling Fluids Advisor – Planning, executing and troubleshooting of
various types of drilling fluids including hydraulics for horizontally
extended wells
EXPERIENCE DRILING ANALYST, EOG RESOURCES CANADA LTD
July 2010 to December 2014
*Worked on Drilling Optimization for wells in NEBC and Manitoba
*Read and QC'd daily drilling reports to make sure data was being entered correctly and
consistently
*Developed a method of maximizing ROP on horizontal shale wells by using historical data
*Wrote tender documents and rated submissions for drilling fluid contracts

depths
*Started sending out daily drilling performance updates to rigs and office personnel
*Discussed performance findings daily with rig personnel and suggested methods of
improvements
*Drew up weekly and seasonal drilling performance reviews and made presentations to
company personnel
*Used third party algorithms to compare survey, connection and tripping times and
communicated these values to the rigs
