The Rio Cinema Archive has a collection of about 10,000
glass-mounted 35mm colour slides taken by the Tape
Slide Newsreel Group based at the cinema in the
mid-1980s.
The group made short left-wing newsreels which were
screened at the Rio as part of the daily programme.
