Louenhide automates fulfillment,
increases efficiency and creates an

From humble beginnings in Brisbane QLD, Louenhide has
become an iconic Australian fashion accessory brand. Its
signature handbags boast a classic, simple design coupled
with vibrant colour palettes.
Louenhide’s range of beautiful shoes, handbags and
accessories are functional, elegant and affordable.
Its product range is available online and from hundreds of
retailers around the world. Growth, however, has not been
without its challenges. To meet these demands, Louenhide
recently implemented the Temando fulfillment platform on
Magento.
Louenhide is an Australian fashion success story. Initially
a wholesale company, owners Lou Kendall and Heidi
Bailey diversified their offer and moved into traditional
bricks and mortar retail with a clear focus on offering
their customers ‘beautiful things at affordable prices’.
Three years ago, Lou and Heidi expanded online. Today
the brand has a central warehouse which supports two
flagship retail stores, a distribution network to hundreds
of stores globally and a growing online channel.
While the online store is currently growing at 30%
per year, there is potential for much greater growth.
It did not take long for the owners to realise that if
they wanted to scale the eCommerce site, they would
need to integrate the right partners into their Magento

over all stages of the delivery process and is able to curate
delivery experiences based on variables such as product
category, SKU, suburb and shopper frequency.
The Rule Engine allows Louenhide to offer unique delivery
promotions which grow conversion rates and drive sales.
Customers are presented with offers such as ‘Same day
dispatch if you order before 10am’ and ‘Free delivery if you
order over $100!’
Challenges
Louenhide’s existing delivery
process was largely manual, prone to
inefficiencies and imposed a bottleneck
on fulfillment that was hindering growth.
Orders coming in from the online store were transferred
to a spreadsheet and uploaded to a rudimentary single
carrier service. Delivery addresses were tediously corrected
manually. Staff packing deliveries had to search for multiple
orders so they could be sent in one delivery. Even labels and
consignments were a manual process.
In the existing process, customers had no visibility of their
delivery status. As a result, staff spent a considerable amount
of time trying to locate customer orders, causing a massive
drain on resources.

One of the most important things
that Temando enabled for us, is
that customers now have the ability
to track their own orders and get
shipping details independently.
This is saving us 1 to 2 hours per
day. Previously there was no way
for customers to track their order
status.
Results
Temando’s Shipping Extension for Magento was implemented
just one week prior to the Louenhide end of season sale,
where online orders doubled.
Holly recalls one particular day during the sale where there
were 500 orders to process. This amount of orders was
‘unheard of for the business’ and posed the ultimate test for
