3. What Is A Stem Cell Tissue? Adult Stem cell which is also knows as Stem cell tissue is type of a Stem cell. They are only able to differentiate into certain types of cells. This cells are multipotent cells, they are capable of forming a limited number of specialized cell types. The function of the tissue stem cell or the adult stem cell is to repair the tissue for example the skin stem cells renew the old damaged cells. Also, they can divide them self to as many as they want until they repair the damage. This Cells have the function to renew themselves with the process mitosis.
4. Using Stem Cells to threat Diseases Stem Cell Tissues are very appealing for conducting research which can be used to threat different types of diseases such as cancer or Parkinson's disease and more. Further Research may prove in the future that use of a patient's own stem cells to create and make tissues for transplanting, which will avoid any problems with the immune system. Only adult stem cells had some success treating people.
5. Benefits of Stem Cell Research Stem cells have great potential. Scientists are trying to find their uses and how they can be used to treat disease. Diseases like cancer and birth defects usually occur because of the differentiation of the cells. If scientists could get new cells and inject them into the place where that disease is occurring so they will be able to replace the infected cells and start working in their place. This way the new stem cells will even be able to replace damaged organs or other diseases like Parkinson’s disease.
7. Potential Uses of Stem Cell Research Link Professor Leonard talking about the great chance of using Stem cells to fight and threat harmful diseases.
8. For the first time a part of a heart has been created by the stem cell scientists. First process towards creating whole functioning heart. If we study more about stem cells we may actually replace a heart tissue in the future for those people who are suffering from heart diseases. The Stem cells from the bone marrow were exposed to some different chemicals, which made the cells to become into heart valve cells. Stem cells grow into a heart tissue
9. Unanswered Questions Number of different questions are still waiting for answers such as how many kinds of Tissue stem cells are there and where are they located at. The only solution to find the answers to these questions is to study the Adult Stem cells and conduct experiments.
