OBJECTIVE OF WAREHOUSE
• TO PROVIDE A SET OF COMPUTARIZED PROCEDURE FOR
MANAGEMENT OF INVENTORY, SPACE, EQUIPMENT AND
PEOPLE
• OBJECTIVE IS TO MINIMIZE COST AND TIMELY DEVLIVERING
PRODUCTS.
• STANDARD RECEIVING PROCESS FOR SHIPMENT.
• TO MANAGE THE PROCESSESS WITH UTMOST SAFETY AND
MONITORING.
• PROVIDE FRAMEWORK FOR SMOOTH AUDIT SYSTEM.
• KEEP TRACK OF THE THINGS CAN BE FOUND CORRECTLY
• PROVIDE COMMUNICATION LINK WITH CUSTOMER.

Warehouse refers to a large store where relatively large quantities
of pesticides/goods may be stored usually by importer,
manufacturer, packer or whole.
General precaution/ requirements:- first aid, spillage container and fire fighting
equipment

1. WH Should be away from food and medicine storage area.
2. Always store pesticide in its original packing.
3. Should not be sold to minors below 18 years.
4. Warning notice in the WH area must be displayed.
5. WH area should be spark free and smoking free.
6. WH area must be secure for any unauthorized person entry.
7. Warning sign must be displayed around premises.

Pesticides received in damaged containers must be kept separately and
returned to the supplier or disposed of
A notice with the words "NOT FOR SALE" in the local language(s) with
letters of a minimum height of 10cm, must be placed above these
containers.
Leakage and spillage facilities such as buckets with lime, sawdust or clay,
empty containers, spade and adequate water supply for cleaning of
pesticide spillage.
If pesticides are spilt they must be cleaned immediately.

Pesticides should be exhibited on racks or on pallets, but they should
not be stacked to a eight exceeding 2.5 meters.
The distance between racks must be at least 1 meter wide.
If a pesticide is stacked on the floor, it must be placed on pallets.
Stack including the shelf must not exceed 1.3 meters high.
The distance between the rows of pallets must be at least 1 meter wide

WH must be away from residential area, food, medicine factories and
water sources like river.
GODOWN must have good ventilation.
Tem. Of the WH must not increase above 55 degree Celsius.
If Fertilizers stored in the same premises it should be separated from
pesticides.
Record of every transaction and storage must be updated on regular
basis.
Guidelines of First aid and fire fighting to be displayed.
Emergency contact details must be displayed

• Should not be shipped along with food items, medicines, toys,
clothing's, cosmetics or household furnishings.
• Pesticides should not be carried in passenger compartments of
transport vehicles.
• Vehicle-attendants should not ride with a pesticide cargo.
• Vehicles transporting pesticides should carry "hazard warning or
cautionary notices", prominently displayed.
• Pesticides should at all times during transport be kept tightly secure
and covered.
• Proper inspection should be there before loading.
• Personnel, especially supervisory persons, should be trained in
appropriate first-aid and rescue procedures.

• The process of ordering, storing, using, and selling a company's inventory.
• Management of raw materials, components, and finished products, as well as
warehousing and processing of such items.
