Reconfiguration - In this project, Axapta was setup to support products oriented
management instead of branches oriented. The main goal of this project was to
reconfigure the existing system so that users in head office and subsidiaries
excluding manufacturing site should input data into a single company. When this
project is done IMV managers should be able to view financial statements and
analyze business performance not only for locations but also for product categories
in a single company. By relying heavily on GL Dimensions, the number of companies
have been reduced significantly, users have a way to allocate expenses and
distribute revenue by percentage not only to product lines but also to subsidiaries
both automatically and manually. Posting profiles give us a way to do so. I was in
charge of implementation of the project on my own although I received many advices
and suggests from a consulting manager. The main tasks I performed were planning,
documenting, data migration, customization, deploying, CRP preparing, training (30+
users), and after go-live supporting.
Promotional goods handling - The new Vietnamese tax regulation required
promotional goods for which customers don’t have to pay should not have zero value
on the Invoice. This means the invoice must display quantity, price, net amount and
sales tax of the promotional item. This makes the promotional items look like other
normal items. In addition, because customers don’t have to pay for the promotional
items so AX should not account for the item’s amount and item’s tax in the customer
account receivable. Furthermore the promotional item’s amount should not be
recorded in the revenue account. My responsibilities in this project were
requirements gathering and analyzing, research and assess solutions, customizing,
implementation, and after go-live supporting.
HRM reports customization - The job was simply to customize a few HR reports to
satisfy local authority’s requirements.
SOP (Sales order processing) customization - The project’s purpose was to satisfy
local authority’s requirement for the invoice and goods in transit. My primary roles
were requirement analysis, solutions seeking, development, testing, deployment,
and training 40+ users.
PEB Steel Ltd.
Project implementation phase 1 – standards of Trade & Logistics and Finance
modules were implemented in this initial phase. There are a few customizations in
this project such as Financial statements, VAS (Vietnamese accounting system). My
solely task in this project was to develop VAS localization pack and other
management reports for PEB Steel.
Sika Ltd
Inventory closing support - Client has been using AX from January 2006 up to now.
One of our team members suggested them not to run inventory closing so they had
not performed any closing from the beginning of usage to 15 December 2007. It
came to light that they really wanted to close their inventory in order to have the
accurate cost price and inventory value. This was the most difficult project I ever

joined. I carried out a lot of research, analyzing, testing, and documentation in this
project.

Layers merging and maintenance
I customized various modules such as AR, AP, Project, and CRM. Develop some
daily reports and auto solutions such as: transfer orders and purchase orders auto
generation to satisfy Sales orders demand when there is not enough inventory on-
hand, sales forecast auto generation.
