À propos
IFPRI’s research on institutions centers on both collective action in management of natural resources and farmer organizations. Attention is given to different forms of the latter, such as cooperative and producer companies, in terms of their inclusiveness and effectiveness. Our work on property rights addresses formal land governance systems as well as customary rights over land, water, and other natural resources and how these systems of property rights affect the distribution of wealth and long-term security.
