MADISON ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE SCHOOL SCHOLARHIPS
Madison English as a Second Language School (MESLS), located in
Madison, Wisconsin, provides high quality language instruction to help non-
native English speakers improve their English language abilities for academic
purposes, career advancement, and everyday social and practical needs.
MESLS is pleased to announce that we are offering one fully-paid scholarship
at our ESL school! The scholarship will cover the price of tuition ($2,225) for our seven week fall
session (August 29 – October 18, 2013). To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must
submit a short essay explaining why they want to study English. Submissions must be emailed to
info@mesls.edu before 12:00 PM CST on June 3, 2013. The winner will be announced at12:00 PM

3. LINCOLN UNIVERSITY BOARD OF TRUSTEES SCHOLARSHIPS

Entering and continuing students with superior academic records are eligible to apply for a Board of
Trustees Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded from funds provided by the University. The
Board of Trustees Scholarship is credited to the student’s account covering up to two semester’s
full time tuition. Miscellaneous fees for these semesters will be borne by the student. The application
procedure involves submission of transcripts, a Board of Trustees Scholarship Application Form,
which can be obtained from the Dean’s Office, two letters of recommendation, and a brief essay.
The awards will be given on the basis of academic excellence and potential to become an
outstanding student at Lincoln University. Students must submit a completed application form and
all required documentation at least one month before the beginning of a semester. The Lincoln
University Scholarship Committee will interview applicants, select winners and announce them
before the semester begins.

PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES KOREAN CULTURE
Korean culture, food and entertainment was on display during Korean
Culture Day, an annual event held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in the
Crimson and Gold Ballroom of the Overman Student Center at Pittsburg
State University. The event, open to the public, was hosted by the PSU
Korean Student Association. The event featured a variety of displays of Korean culture, including a
fan-dancing performance, martial arts exhibition and musical ensembles. Traditional Korean food
was also be available.
"This is an exciting event that is aimed at promoting the friendship between the Korean students at
PSU and students from many other cultures," said Jamie Lee, KSA president. "We want to share
the Korean culture and show how Korean students contribute to the diversity at PSU."

SIMMONS COLLEGE HOSTS FULBRIGHT WOMEN'S RE-ENTRY SEMINAR
For a second consecutive year, Simmons College has been awarded the
opportunity to host a Fulbright Women's Re-Entry Seminar. Approximately 100
international Fulbright foreign students from Sub-Saharan Africa, the Western
Hemisphere, Southeast Asia, and South and Central Asia will attend a four-day
seminar at Simmons before heading back to their home countries.
The seminar, which took place April 17-20, is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau
of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Fulbright Program, the U.S. government's flagship
international exchange program supported by the people of the United States and partner countries

The Neeley School offers free GMAT Prep Classes via webinar as a service to
