Leadership in 21st Century
“…catalyze a coalition / consortium of independent enterprises and national interests from
countries with less latitudinal advantageous launch ranges such as Russia, Japan, Korea
and Canada.” Space Calendar, Nov 12-18, 2012 / Vol 31, No 46 / Hawai`I Island, USA

Space Calendar: March 18-24, 2013 / Vol 32,
No 11 / Hawai`i Island, USA
15. Opportunities abound for 21st Century innovation
and revitalization with proposals for Aloha
Pacific Space Access in the Central Pacific,
linking Asia, America North, America South,
Antarctica and Australia in collaboration on the
new frontier.
16. Fully contained sea launch systems with non-toxic
propellants towed to optimal offshore locations
from home ports in Hilo, Hawai`i or Honolulu,
Oahu would ensure minimal disruption to local
environments.
17. There is strong demand for high efficiency
equatorial launch facilities, not just from Russia,
Japan, Korea and China but also ambitious
commercial / NewSpace organizations. This
could provide the contract volume to ensure
return on investment above and beyond the
intrinsic benefits of high tech development, and
direct continuation of the Hawaii legacy of
launching great voyages of exploration.
18. From Hawaii to the Moon
Hawaii’s geography gives it central importance in
the Pacific Hemisphere.
Some day astronomer-engineers, training in lunar
observatory prototype conditions atop Mauna
Kea may take off to the Moon from mid-Pacific,
equatorial sea-launching operations.
