This document discusses IPv6 deployment considerations for ISPs. It outlines various tunneling options for migration like 6to4, Teredo, and 6in4 that have pitfalls like unpredictable latency. Native deployment and PPPoE are better options, but PPPoE requires IP6CP and DHCPv6 configuration. Native is optimal but requires circuit separation. There are also pitfalls on the consumer side like lack of IPv6 router support and DNS resolution issues in Windows XP. Carriers must also fully implement peering agreements and avoid carrying over IPv4 filtering policies to IPv6. Enabling major sites like Google and YouTube on IPv6 has increased traffic volumes.

● All our carriers deliver IPv6
● Some carriers still don't have a full-table and
the implementation of their peering
agreements can be unfortunate.
● Some carriers still have to learn, not to take
their IPv4 filtering policies and “just” to apply
them to IPv6.

10. Where is the killer app ?
● Various websites have enabled IPv6
● We are Google IPv6 weblisted
● When Google end of last year enabled
YouTube, IPv6 skyrocketed
