Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park forms the heart of Australia’s Red Centre. Rising majestically out of the desert landscape, the ancient red rocks and domes of Uluru and Kata Tjuta are internationally recognised symbols of Australia. First inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1987, the park is one of only a few places on Earth to be listed for both its outstanding natural and cultural values. http://iucn.org/about/work/programmes/gpap_home/pas_gpap/paoftheweek/gpap_paweekasia/?18531/Wearing-the-mark-of-ancestral-beings
