Digital education is a type of educational
instruction that is delivered via the internet to
students using their home computers. During the
last decade, Digital degrees and courses have
become popular alternative for a wide range of
non-traditional students, include those who want
to continue working full-time or raising families.
Most of the time, Digital degree programs and
courses are offered via the host school's Digital
learning platform, although some are delivered
using alternative technologies.
3. Company Profile
Extramarks Education is an education
technology company, that provides online and
offline schooling and curricula. It was founded
in 2007, and headquartered in Noida, India.
As of March 2022, Extramarks has tied up
with 10,000 government and private schools.
4. Objectives of the Study
To Study on Student Preference and Perception towards Extramarks
Education in Lucknow City.
To know most preferred way of education towards Extramarks
Education in Lucknow City.
To know why people preferring digital education over offline
education.
To study the opinion of students, teachers and parents regarding
digital education.
To know the future scope of digital education.
To know advantages and disadvantages of digital and offline
education.
To know why people don’t prefer digital education.
To know whether it will be treated as same as offline education or
not.
5. Research Methodology
RESEARCH DESIGN: DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH:
The research undertaken was a descriptive research as it was
concerned with specific predictions, with narration of facts and
characteristics concerning A Study on Student Preference and
Perception towards Extramarks Education in Lucknow City.
UNIVERSE OF STUDY: Universe of the study means all the
Customers of Extramarks Education in Lucknow.
Sample Area: Lucknow
SAMPLE TYPE
I HAVE USED RANDOM SAMPLE FOR STUDY.
SAMPLE SIZE: A sample of minimum respondents will be selected
from customers of Extramarks Education in Lucknow. An effort was
made to select respondents evenly. The survey was carried out on 100
respondents.

6. DATA SOURCE
There were two types of data sources used in this
research. These were
PRIMARY DATA
Primary data is the data collected for the first time
from the source and never have been used earlier.
The data can be collected through interviews,
observations and questionnaires.
SECONDARY DATA
Secondary data is the data collected from already
been use or published information like journals,
diaries, books, etc .In this research project, secondary
source used were various journals, and website of
various online journals.
7. Limitations of the study
The research is only applicable to the
Lucknow area.
The research is done on the basis of data
provided by the respondents.
The questionnaire is designed based on our
research objectives.
There may be some biased response from
the respondents.
Some respondents did not provide the full

Employed people have shown more curiosity towards
digital education. Some students are preferring digital
education because it’s save time but a large number of
students still think classroom education is more effective
than digital education.
Most of people in our research are aware about digital
education but there are certain people who still unaware
about digital education.
In our research most preferred mode of education is
Offline/physical way and only 40% people preferred
digital education.
Only few people think that digital education is an
effective way of learning and most people still prefer
9. SUGGESTIONS
Improvement practical session. May be helped when 5g,
internet of things, artificial intelligence will be introduced.
Which student will much be connected with digital
platform.? And may be have virtual practical classes. And
helps in skill development. Presentation. Etc.
It's quite good but we don't over dependent on it.
Learning tools and technology enable students to
develop effective self-directed learning skills.
During digital education, educator must develop a
balance interaction with students so that students do not
feel isolated and they could enjoy the learning.
10. CONCLUSION
The increased presence of people on internet inspires us to prepare
project on digital education. That is the reason we prepare this
project to check whether people are aware about digital education
or not and what they think about digital education and what they
prefer as mode of education digital education or offline/traditional
education.
Throughout the report we observe that still people prefer offline way
of education because it provide one to one interaction between
student and teachers, moreover it also provides real time interaction
in the classroom.
While in digital education you will get ease access of information,
anywhere and anytime but you won’t get real time interaction like on
campus study. But it has lot of advantages like, student have
opportunity to learn while they are working.
