55 I can Not understand for the life of me why Withholding “Medical Marijuana” at minimum; for
medical use is such an issue. I could list at well over 50 people I personally know in Hamilton
County alone who are suffering from Cancer, Spinal damage, Chronic Pain, Neuropathies,
Fibromyalgi, COPD, Severe Anxiety, Severe Panic disorders and the list goes on. We can’t get
relief from medical Doctors anymore “Oh sorry, Red Flag if I write you a prescription” because of
“The Opiod” epidemic, so we suffer 24/7. Who are you to decide we have to live like this? It’s NOT
living, it’s existing. You make the laws we have to legally abide by and it’s NOT fair we have to
suffer like this. We should have the right to choose an alternative all natural way to hopefully heal
ourselves or at least have a bit more quality of life with what time we have left. Stop playing God,
he gave us this plant as food and medicine and you have No right to keep it from us. As far as the
BS “It’s a gateway drug” that’s insane!!! Young and Old are going to use whatever they want if

workforce. Veterans are mature, educated and hard wording assets to any employer. The state
should implement incentives comparable to those in surrounding states for veterans to settle
Indiana. Incentives must include military income being exempt from state taxes. This issue will be
a large part of my personal decision whether or not to reside in Indiana when I retire from the

85 Indiana is losing way too many veterans to other states because of the income taxes on military
pay. Eliminate the income tax and the revenues will go up three times what is lost. Retired Military
families support local business, pay taxes on the Civilian income, pay property taxes and sales

around the edges and never really take significant action to retain and recruit veterans. Investing in
veteran programs is an investment in Indiana and will pay for its upfront costs many times over.

to retain and attract veterans if we are to compete with our surrounding states. The state needs to
aggressively improve the Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment test program. There are many other

increase freedom. Do more to reduce, or even eliminate state taxes, especially on businesses and
individuals. I gave Gov. Holcomb a C, basically an average grade. It isn't that he is doing a bad
job, just not doing a stand-out exemplary job. Doing something bold such as elimination of state
income tax, or eliminating state government offices to reduce the footprint of the state government,
and thus reduce the overall budget, would help him stand out.

in your organization do some investigative reporting into the local judicial system. There are
policies in place in the Marion Co system that are limiting repeat violent offenders (involving guns)
to probation (no time served) or wearing an ankle bracelet (no time served). With no serious
consequences to fear, our system is empowering thugs to continue their destructive behavior on
our community. Find a few IMPD offficers willing to talk anonymously; they will share their
frustration.

that will allow expansion to the budget for infrastructure, teachers pay et al and the sports
gambling landscape is exploding. Indiana residents are gambling on sports but the state is betting
notta, might as well capitalize on the opportunity. I answered “job training and employment” to #14
which I believe plays a large roll in crime. I think crime troubles are related heavily to drugs and
economic issues. Getting to our youth early and improving their environments, their family

a family. Indiana should be ashamed. 2. After years of being told to purchase cars with good
mileage to save national assets (Oil Based Products) and doing so, we are now penalized for
having Hybrid cars. 3. NW Indiana roads are some of the worst in the nation. (Drove from NW Ind
to NW Arkansas then to CA. No roads came close to the deterioration of Indiana roads, same is
true going east or south. I appreciate the surplus and balanced budgets, but those savings are
coming on the backs of all tax payers. 4. There is a time when Senior Citizens, who have paid
school (property taxes) taxes for their children and grandchildren. NY does not charge school
property taxes on those 70 and over. Think about it. There are other states which provide a
significantly greater state income tax break for veterans and disabled veterans.

and the Administration. Indiana has lost 16.4% of it's veteran population in the last 5 years
compared to 10.8% for MI, 11.1% for WI & MO, 11.7% for OH & IA, 13% for KY and 16.5% for IL.
Indiana ranks 44th in military retiree population at 4.4% yet is 16th largest veteran population.
Changes in IN could gain or keep an estimated 21 THOUSAND workers in Indiana who are highly
skilled, disciplined, loyal and exceed expectations in industry! The tax revenue that could be
generated by enacting veterans legislation at the state level could add over $214 MILLION
annually in Indiana after an estimated 5 years! Additionally, Indiana veterans contribute over $2.9
BILLION to the Indiana economy annually just from the VA benefits they receive that they earned
for their service. AND because Indiana does NOT support veteran service officers (like other
states do), Indiana lost about $261 MILLION last year and also lost an estimated $261 MILLION in
tax revenue!!

gotten aggressive. You learn to recognize those who are truly homeless and they are pretty
harmless. It is the other scruffy types hanging around with nothing to do that are a problem.
