With the result of an increase of more than US $ 500 million in company revenues with new or improved products of higher value added compared to traditional products I have learned and taught a lot. I was the coordinator of the implementation of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for Sadia, the first in the Brazilian food industry to apply the technique with proven success. We than have learnt to translate the wishes and wants of consumers into product specification down to the production process. We have presented some of our work in international symposia for the Japanese and the Americans and received excellent evaluation.
