Christina Maria Aguilera was born on December 18th 1980, in Staten Island, New York.
She got signed to RCA records in 1998 and she made her first debut in 1999 with her
song ‘Genie In A Bottle’.
Before she became a singer she had appeared on a few TV series, such as Star Search
and The Mickey Mouse Club.
The music genre Christina has worked in are R&B, Pop, Dance Pop and Soul.

ESTABLISHED IN HER EARLIEST VIDEOS?
Christina’s first song was Genie In A Bottle, this was debuted in 1999, her star image in
this video is simple and calm, her clothing wasn’t extreme and was simple, the camera
angles in the video aren’t over the top and are simple, however when she is dancing
in the video, there are a lot of different camera angle shots. However there is no
special camera effects.
Another early song of hers was What A Girl Wants, this was also released in 1999, her
style in this video was a little more chic, there was also a lot of dancing in this video
and a lot of different camera angles and shots while she was dancing, but like her first
video there wasn’t any special effects.
Her early image was very chic, she loved wearing jeans and crop tops, she had the
normal girly casual look to her early image.

Christina still makes music in 2016, but her last music video was in 2014, she was
featured in the song ‘Say Something’ in the songs music video she was shown more
classy, there was also a lot of performing in the music video, there was a story told in
the music video, there was also less props in the music video, she was standing in
front of a black background and was singing.
Another music video of hers is ‘Let There Be Love’ which was released in 2013, the
video is of the modern day and she’s included a lot of her fans in the video, in the
video there’s a lot of people dancing and holding signs, the video sends a happy
meaning to everyone.
Her music has changed and she tries to keep up to date with what type of music is in
date, now that she is older her music has become more classy and is still targeted to
an older adult audience, but it can also be targeted to a younger teenage audience.

Christina’s record company attempts to sell her music albums by making her relate
with the type of music today, because she has the type of voice which goes well with
any genre, so the company makes sure she is up to date with the music which is in
date now.
Her hairstyles and costumes change throughout the years, she’s done everything with
her hair and costumes, she keeps her style up to date with the years.

As times gone on, Christina’s camera angles have changed they have become more
professional, the camera quality has also improved loads.
Her videos have become more fun and more over the top, if you compare her old
videos to her latest ones, you can see there has been a lot of changes, her outfits have
changed, her makeup has changed, her hairstyles have changed, the type of videos
she does have also changed.
Her videos went from casual to over the top, her videos would be of her dancing in a
normal routine in causal everyday wear to dancing to a professionally choreographed
dance in sparkly, revealing outfits.
Her latest videos have more of a sex appeal, like the lyrics to the song are more
inappropriate, whereas her older songs weren’t as inappropriate.

Christina Aguilera promotes a lot of girl power in her videos, she has featured with a
lot of other female artists, for example her song ‘Lady Marmalade’ which has artists
like Pink, Mya and Lil Kim featured in it and they promote girl power.

9. CONCLUSION
Christina Aguilera kept a lot of things the same in her music videos, usually singers
change the type of music they do as the time goes on, but Christina has kept her
music genre the same, another similarity is that she keeps a lot of her videos vintage
themed.
She keeps her music is targeted to a lot of different age groups because she started
her career in the 90s and she has since then carried on her career and with the new
music she creates it targets a younger audience whereas it still targets the audience
she started off with in the 90s, at the beginning of her career.
