Michael Faraday
• An English scientist that
lived from 1791-1867
• The early days of his carrier
he was primarily a Chemist
but some of his greatest
discoveries heralded
changes in Physics.
• Primarily in the field of
Electromagnetic physics.
Faraday's Law of Magnetic Induction
• Whenever magnetic flux is linked with a
circuit it changes and an emf is induced in the
circuit. The induced emf lasts so long as the
change in the change in the magnetic flux
continues.
• The magnitude of the emf induced in a circuit
is directly proportional to the rate of change of
magnetic flux linked with the circuit.

• in computers in the CD player
• AC, vacuums, clothes dryers
