SEASONAL UNIFORM CHANGE
S-1 The seasonal uniform change will take place this weekend in conjunction with

on Sunday should arrive in Desert MARPATS or the Service "C" uniform depending on

DRIVER IMPROVEMENT CLASSES
FRO The Henderson Hall Safety Office will be hosting a Driver Improvement Course
(703)697-7342 (DIC) on March 14th and 28th for Marines who need to attend. Per MCO 5100.19F all
Marines under the age of 26 must attend a course in traffic safety designed to
establish and reinforce positive behaviors toward driving. This is the CMC
approved course. All Marines under the age of 26 are required to attend within 60
days of check-in.
All class sessions will be held in the Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) training
room on the third floor of Bldg 29 (MCX) from 0800 to 1200. Sign-in will take
place the morning of the class session.
MARINE VOLUNTEER
1. Each year, the Department of Defense (DoD) supports the Close-Up Foundation.
The Close-Up Foundation is the nation's largest non-profit, non-partisan
citizenship educational organization, working to promote responsible and informed
participation in the democratic process through a variety of educational program
2. seminars. These seminars help to familiarize students with the workings of the government and
military as a whole. Additional information on the Close-Up Foundation can be found at

2. This is a great opportunity for the service member to sharpen his/her public speaking skills and
craft messages on a variety of issues. Each session is strictly "non-attribution" and requires no
specific expertise by the service member involved, other than personal experiences as a military
service member. Panelists are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled
session time. Panelists should expect to stay 10-15 minutes after the scheduled session for photos
and student interaction.

The Clubs at Quantico will host a Guest Speaker on March 27 from 1000 - 1100. Biography of

2013 NAVY-MARINE CORPS RELIEF SOCIETY CONTRIBUTION PROGRAM
For the second year, the MCCS Henderson Hall Marine Corps Exchange (MCX), located on Joint
Base Myer-Henderson Hall, will be offering a Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) contribution
benefit coupon to customers for a $5 contribution. When purchased, the coupon will entitle customers
to specific percent-off discounts applied to a one-time purchase on either April 22 or 23, 2013, for
merchandise storewide (see coupon for exclusions).
In 2012, the MCX Corps-wide contributed over $74,000 to the NMCRS. The money collected from
the contributions is given to NMCRS to help Sailors, Marines and their families in need.
Founded in 1904, the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a private non-profit charitable
organization sponsored by the Department of the Navy. The Society provides need-based financial
assistance to eligible recipients in the form of, among other benefits, interest-free loans and
grants, scholarships and interest-free loans for education, financial counseling, emergency
financial assistance, baby workshops, and visiting nurse service.
MCX Henderson Hall is pleased to be participating in the program. Patrons may purchase the
coupon from any point of sale and in Customer Service from now through the final day of redemption,
