Join us in giving them a voice through the Delhi Half Marathon on Sunday, 9th Nov

Dear All ,
You have known Skillshare International and its programmes for a while. You may also
be aware that Skillshare is also a local Trust. In order to expand the resource base for our
partners' programmes we are making a humble effort at public communication and fund
raising. Knowing that you share our values, I am sending this special appeal to you. I
know you are extremely busy; but I trust you will spare a couple of minutes and do your
best in your individual capacity to support the cause of the tribal community.
Skillshare International (India) Trust is making a challenging and enthusiastic effort to
increase the awareness of the urban folks on the Forest Act especially in the context of
Tribals. We are planning to do this by participating in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon
where we intend to raise awareness about Tribals' rights over forest resources. We also
hope to enlist supporters for the cause and to raise financial resources for ensuring basic
services like healthcare, education, employment and shelter for forest dwelling tribals.
In order to encourage our small effort, you can do many things.
Our goal is to raise an immediate contribution of Rs 100,000 towards supporting the
voiceless adivasis
You could support our run by:
• Donating as much as you can towards this goal of Rs. 100,000 by 30th Oct 2008.
• Running for Skillshare yourself and raising money through your family and friends.
• Persuading your company to make a contribution of Rs 25,000 or above.
I will make sure that you get regular reports on how your money will be used.
