6. • Chandigarh Hub was declared the Winners of the ‘Shaping A
Better Future Grant Challenge 2015’ sponsored by Coca-Cola and
got US$50,000 for project ‘Kalpa Vriksha’
• Chandigarh Hub was declared grant winner of the ‘Shaping A
Better Future Grant Challenge 2016’ sponsored by Coca Cola and
got US$ 10,000 for the project ‘I Break My Silence’
• Chandigarh Shapers selected among the top 50 Shapers across
the world to represent India at the Annual meeting of the World
Economic Forum at Davos and at the Annual Meeting of New
Champions in China
• Curator Jaideep Bansal has been selected to be on the Founding
Board of the Global Shapers Community

7. Annual Curators Meeting 2015
Simarpreet Singh represented the Chandigarh
Hub at the Annual Curators Meeting in Geneva.
Simar was invited by the community to present
on the work Chandigarh Hub has been leading
as a model for other 400+ Hubs to reapply.
Simar also pitched to the entire community for
the ‘I Break My Silence’ project as part of Coca
Cola Shaping a Better Future Challenge.
The collaborations worked out by Simar at the
meeting have enabled the Chandigarh Hub to
expand the hub projects beyond the local
context “When Local turns Global”.

stories, while getting bystanders to be the part of solution.

• Conducted audits for Non-Motorized Transport Infrastructure in Chandigarh

accountability at administration level
• Remobilize Team now conducting cycle track audits using the volunteer base, an exercise
that took 4.5 crore INR for Delhi will be done for free by the Chandigarh Hub
16. Viral Claps is aimed at engaging the society in the Swachh Bharat campaign
(Clean India Mission) through a bottom up approach. The team identifies
litterbugs and claps for them, causing social shame.

17. Viral Claps Sessions
• Engaging the youth on Swachh Bharat through sessions at various schools and
colleges.
• Viral Claps Leader program to build a network of Viral Clappers
• Working with administration to identify hotspots of littering and take corrective
action
• Strategic engagement with NSS to launch a drive on reclaiming the areas lost to
litter and drive sustainability for the campaign.
18. Aimed at providing corrective eyesight to underprivileged children
from government schools. These students have never had their
eyes tested and cannot read properly. We conduct eye checkups
and provide corrective solutions

implementing the process of improving levels of
learning in schools using digital learning tools.
Espranza along with Global Shapers Chandigarh

20. New Shapers and Volunteer Program
• Chandigarh Hub recruited 2 new brilliant shapers who were
selected out of a pool of 40 applicants
• The hub has initiated a volunteer program to expand on-ground
presence and also build a pipeline for future Global Shapers.
Currently we have 6 volunteers actively working on different
projects.
21. SHAPING DAVOS
#ShapingSustainability
• Organized a Panel discussion consisting of leaders from diverse fields at
ISB Campus (India’s top B School) with an attendance of over 150
people
• Engaged the local community on the topic of Shaping Sustainability. The
audience was mix of entrepreneurs, students, local youth leaders and
business professionals.
• #Shapingsustainability trended on top 10 hashtags on Twitter in India
22. World Economic Forum Annual Meeting
Davos 2016
• Jaideep Bansal, Curator of the Hub was selected as among the top 50 Shapers
across the world to represent the community at Davos 2016
• Presented the work Chandigarh Hub is leading to the entire Shapers community
• Interviewed for Talking Davos which was livestreamed across the globe
• Received the Coca Cola Grant from Mr.Kent, the CEO of Coca-Cola
